We are a team of 7 designers coming together to empower ecommerce businesses to deliver exceptional customer support.

Our team is distributed across Paris, Berlin, Los Angeles and New York, and each of us bring diverse backgrounds and experiences that allows us to approach design challenges from multiple angles to find unique solutions.

When not designing, Antonio is riding a bike 🚲 or shooting some random footage 📸. Grégoire is traveling in his van to enjoy the nature 🚐 or playing the guitar 🎸. Iris is traveling with friends ✈️ or salsa dancing 💃. Kat is working in her garden 🌳 and finding new tulips to plant 🌷. Lisa is reading books about cognitive psychology and neuroscience 🧠 or watercolor painting 🎨. Marika is baking 🍰 or spending time with her dogs 🐼. and Vanessa is knitting 🧶 or playing the piano 🎹.

It can be challenging to keep track of how everyone's doing or what projects they're working on while working remotely and in different squads. We strive to maintain unity as a team and strengthen our bonds through a few rituals:

• Design Weekly: discussing our processes, sharing team updates, tracking OKRs

• Design Jam: design critiques, workshops, ideation sessions

• Working sessions: spontaneous or recurrent 1:1s to share projects, ask for feedback, work together

We work in squads alongside a product manager, engineering manager and engineers.

Our process is highly collaborative – we partner with PMs to conduct discovery, define problem spaces and solutions. Engineering is involved in the concept creation phase and lead the implementation of the project.

Our head of design, Kat runs the IxDA Berlin community with a local design community which has over 3000 members. Each month, the local Berlin design community; from novices to experts, are invited to participate in talks, workshops, and networking events to expand their knowledge and contribute to the community.

Educational events span from anything from ethics to diversity and inclusion, and sustainability, and designers are given tools to integrate these into their work life. Each year, the community comes together and the annual IxDA conference to share ideas, network and learn about the latest design trends.
