Most modern fintech companies — as well as legacy financial institutions — profit from being intentionally opaque. Fruitful will be successful as our members reach their goals through transparency and thoughtfulness.

The only way to achieve this is by designing, shaping and leading the end-to-end experience of our products and services, while also being an equal thought partner — pushing others — across all aspects of the business, including engineering, product, marketing, etc.

This role is a key hire for the Fruitful team. You will be responsible for helping to define the initial and long term product direction, while working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to holistically build a thriving business.

What You'll Do...

• Design and prototype end-to-end product experiences and features.

• Create a world-class visual design language, system, and aesthetic.

• Clearly and concisely communicate designs and ideas, seeking feedback early and often from teammates and users.

• Collaboratively work with other Product, Engineering, and Marketing stakeholders.

• Continually push to establish and uphold a culture of Design within the broader Fruitful team

• Understand and translate short and long-term business objectives into practical and simple product features.

• Learn what is and isn’t working — and iterate quickly where needed.

Key Qualifications

• You have 4+ years of experience designing modern consumer-focused products, ideally in a startup or high-velocity environment

• A portfolio of work on which you were the primary designer contributing to high impact projects for both desktop and mobile.

• A healthy balance of humility and strong opinions.

• Well-rounded visual and interaction design skills, along with proficient product thinking that leads to effective, intuitive, and beautiful human interfaces.

• Advanced proficiency in prototyping and communicating deliverables and decisions.

• Ability to move slow where possible, but swiftly where necessary.

• Desire to understand and appreciate business objectives, with the goal of building a successful business by way of doing right by our customers.
