Flipside enables blockchains to live up to their full potential. From our early journey as a fund, to a rating system, a business intelligence offering, and ultimately a community-enabled growth and insights engine, Flipside has remained dedicated to a mission that will help transform the world by advancing the data insights available in the blockchain industry. We do this by connecting two types of people:

• Analysts learning, earning, and sharing their data insights with the world

• Crypto projects directly funding the Flipside bounty program that our community of analysts can earn tokens through

We're a tight-knit team of 3 designers and researchers working across the Flipside experience. We meet regularly to help and support each other, stay aligned, and push our product forward. We collaborate and work closely with partners from product, engineering, and marketing.

We're located across the US and meet in person at offsites a couple of times a year. Here are some scenes from our team offsite in March 2022:

How we work

• Within our teams, we start the week off with a quick standup to share highlights from the past weekend and align on our priorities for the week

• Every Tuesday and Thursday we meet as a design team to share what we're working on and anything that's currently inspiring us

• Every month in an All Hands, we highlight recently launched work, share kudos with one another, get to know one another on a personal level, and play a few fun games

Customer empathy

Understanding our customers is critical for the work we do. In addition to traditional user research…

• We use both Flipside and other services regularly and share our experiences

• We conduct lots of interviews with analysts - both internal and external

• We have a program for employees to gain access to tokens (usually our partners), to better understand wallet setup, particular community use cases, and ecosystem structure

Autonomy

Each product designer has a large scope. We trust you to become the expert of your domain and show us how we can best serve our customers within it.

One team

While we each have our focus areas, we play as one team. We trade ideas, feedback, and observations with one another on how to make our products better. And then we celebrate the wins together.

Holistic thinking

Building the right solution requires us to take a birds-eye view. Of user and business needs. Of the short-term and long-term. We do this as a team, bringing our diverse perspectives together to build our shared understanding.
