The Role

Within these teams, members of our Strategy group help to bring focus and direction, ensuring the work we produce is supported by principles, delivering on the needs and expectations of both end users and the business.
As Strategy Director, you'll lead engagements through research, concepting, and ideation, developing transformative digital solutions that help our clients achieve their goals. Under your guidance, you’ll inspire teams to deliver excellence, creating work of an exceptional level of quality in craft and execution. Staying informed on trends in business, technology, and culture, you’ll form trusted relationships with client partners, identifying new opportunities to add value in support of client growth objectives.
Ideal candidates will have extensive experience guiding strategic engagements and leading cross-functional teams in defining solutions for enterprise web, digital product, e-commerce, and new ventures. Candidates should have deep experience working with global brands and a portfolio of work that conveys a high bar for excellence in innovation and design.
What You'll Do

Define the approach and methodology for project and program-level engagements under guidance

Collaborate with Practice Leads and the Delivery team on project planning

Develop briefs, requirements, and product roadmaps, and client presentations

Guide teams towards a clear understanding of our clients, their business, and objectives

Lead engagement across the full lifecycle both hands-on and in a management capacity

Engage client-side stakeholders in workshops, presentations, and reviews

Lead research from planning and facilitation to defining actionable insights

Manage, mentor, and support recruitment of Strategy team members

Support the continual improvement of the agency’s strategy capabilities and approaches

Contribute to marketing and new business including thought leadership and events
What You'll Bring
-
8+ years experience in a digital agency or consulting environment
-
2+ years experience managing and leading teams
-
A strong portfolio demonstrating skill, craft, thinking, and expertise
-
Deep knowledge of digital platforms, devices, and technologies with specific focus on web, mobile, e-commerce, and digital product

Experience with product strategy, service design, journey mapping, user experience, content strategy, information architecture, and interaction design

Experience leading qualitative and quantitative research and distilling insights

Confidence in engaging clients and leading workshops with senior level stakeholders

Demonstrated strength in presenting, persuading, and selling through ideas

A Bachelor’s degree or MBA preferred but not required with equivalent experience
This position is open to candidates across Canada with a preference for hybrid in Vancouver or remote in Toronto. International applicants will not be considered at this time.
