Driver AI is the new way to write technical documentation. It helps everyone in an organization write interactive documents to explain millions of lines of code in minutes instead of months. Driver AI works by digesting codebases and other assets, organizing them for analysis, and harnessing Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate interactive explanations for executives, product and technology leaders, and developers.

### **About the Role**

As a Senior Product Designer at Driver AI, you will play a crucial role in shaping our product for initial customers. Your contributions will have significant technical and cultural implications, influencing our growth trajectory. This role requires adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

You will work closely with founders, product leads, and the engineering team to rapidly iterate on design foundations. Your expertise in product design, interaction design, and visual design will be instrumental in creating end-to-end experiences that delight our users and meet business objectives. You'll have considerable freedom in design decisions as we establish our foundation.

This role is a good fit for someone interested in being at an early-stage startup, being heavily involved in building an early vision, and who may want to be a founder someday.

### **Responsibilities**

* Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define and implement product design strategies aligned with company vision and market requirements.

* Create intuitive and engaging user experiences through product design, interaction design, and visual design.

* Develop wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and specs to effectively communicate design concepts.

* Work within, expand, and maintain a comprehensive and efficient design system, ensuring consistency and quality in design outputs.

* Participate in and sometimes lead design reviews, critiques, and brainstorming sessions.

* Guide cross-functional teams through the design process, ensuring successful implementation of new features and functionalities.

* Stay current with emerging UX techniques and tools, applying new knowledge to improve design processes and outcomes.

* Advocate for user-centered design, translating user needs and business goals into innovative product experiences.

* Conduct user research, create user personas, journey maps, and other UX artifacts to inform design decisions.

### **Skills and Qualifications**

* 5+ years of experience in product design for digital products or services.

* Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional product design skills and strategic thinking.

* Expertise in product design, interaction design, and visual design principles.

* Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.

* Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite (we use Figma).

* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to various stakeholders.

* Comfortable working independently, navigating ambiguity, taking initiative, and working iteratively in a fast-paced environment.

* Strong project management skills and ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.

### **Preferred Qualifications**

* Familiarity with frontend technologies and their impact on design implementation.

* Understanding of machine learning concepts and their application in user interfaces.

* Experience with complex B2B SaaS products.

* Previous experience in a startup environment or small team.

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
