Who we are, what we do, and how it’s going

We are a fully remote, independent, and profitable company made up of experienced, talented people. We hire globally across time zones from UTC -5 to UTC +2 and currently have people based in Europe, South America, and Canada.

Back in 2017, we saw an issue with last-mile delivery — it was too complicated and stressful for drivers. Circuit started a mission to change that by choosing to develop an app that put the driver, and their customers, first.

We were astounded by the response we received. Within our first year, we had almost 1,000 customers, $100k in ARR, and a team consisting of our two co-founders, Jack and Pol. Today, we now help more than 100,000 drivers deliver over 1bn packages worldwide (about 20 a second!), $20m ARR, and a lean team of ~40.

What you will be doing day to day

Joining our Marketing Design team, you'll lead the design and production of new website pages to communicate our products effectively to our B2B and B2C customers. You’ll collaborate with our developers to bring your designs to life, and our Marketing team to deliver visual materials like emails, screenshots, and other user-facing communication.

You'll also play a key role in localizing assets, ensuring our brand resonates across different markets worldwide. Working closely with the Marketing Design team, you'll help create and maintain our brand guidelines, keeping our visual identity consistent and compelling.

Partnering with the wider Circuit team, you’ll design assets supporting various projects and initiatives. By communicating design decisions clearly and iterating based on feedback and data, you'll deliver beautiful, high-quality designs.

What you won’t be doing

• Having lots of meetings. Expect ~one per week. We’re not the right fit for you if you rely on regular meetings to keep on track.

• Sacrificing quality. We have high standards and won’t rush to meet an arbitrary deadline.

• Managing people. You’ll mentor others and manage projects, but this will remain an individual contributor role, at least for now.

• Working with junior folks. You need to be okay with doing more low-level and administrative tasks.

What we need from you

• Experience in designing for the web and collaborating with developers

• Extensive experience in brand-focused design work, specifically for SaaS products

• Proficiency with design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite

• Experience in motion design (bonus points if you’ve used Rive!)

• A strong sense of design fundamentals and a keen eye for detail

• Up-to-date knowledge of design trends to create innovative solutions

• Experience working independently and managing projects from concept to completion

• Ability to communicate and collaborate well with others, asynchronously and synchronously

• English communication skills to a high level of professional proficiency

• You must live in UTC-5 to UTC+2 time zones to apply

Hiring Process

The hiring process for this role consists of five stages and takes around three weeks. Because we are a fully remote company, every meeting will be via video call (Zoom or Hangouts). At every step, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and make sure we are the right choice for you.

1️⃣ Meet our TA Manager ☕

You’ll have a 45-minute video call with our Talent Acquisition Manager, Sadie. She will tell you more about Circuit and ask questions to help get to know you, too.

2️⃣  Meet the hiring manager

You’ll meet our Marketing Design Lead, Alex, and take her through your portfolio, selecting projects that showcase your skills for designing interactive web experiences.

3️⃣ Test project

At this stage, we will send you a brief for a design test project designed to show us how you approach a challenge and give you a taste of the type of work you’ll be doing! It should take you around 8 hours, and we’ll pay you for your time 💵

4️⃣ Meet the Marketing Design Team

Chat about your design project and get to know the marketing design team and how they work, again with Alex who will be joined by Senior Marketing Designer, Tasha.

5️⃣ Meet the CEO

You’ll have a 30-minute final video call with our Founder and CEO, Jack—an informal chat and an opportunity to meet.
