Castro Labs is a new company building technology that helps queer people feel seen, safe, valued, and desired. We’re a small team of queer individuals who are working to build the next wave of technologies and products that our community deserves. Bent, our newest app, is a platform that helps diverse queer communities come together and thrive.

As a Mobile Product Engineer, you’ll work alongside Product, Design, User Research, Marketing, and Engineering to develop our mobile products and play a critical role in shaping the long-term direction of the product and company.

What you’ll do:

• Work directly with our the Head of Engineering to develop our mobile app, from front-end and full-stack features to reliability, performance, architecture, and beyond.

• Collaborate with design, product, other engineers, and the broader team to build end-to-end functionality.

• Contribute to each step of the development process, from ideation to implementation to release.

• Work in a fast-paced and collaborative startup environment to ship products and features.

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of industry mobile application development experience, building consumer or business-facing products.

• Deep understanding of mobile development and best practices in either native iOS (e.g. SwiftUI) or cross-platform technologies (e.g. React Native, Flutter).

• Passion and excitement about the products we’re building.

• Experience in following best practices in writing reliable and maintainable code used by other engineers.

• Ability to keep up-to-date with new technologies to understand what should be utilized.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
