Company Overview
Benikit is an early-stage startup dedicated to bringing tech into the outdated group insurance industry. The mission is to help brokers stay ahead of the ever-changing landscape of group health insurance.
To move to the next step, Benikit needs to release V2 of the platform while supporting the needs of its current clients. Things are moving fast and I am looking to hire an experienced engineer to help release the next version of the platform and play a key role in building out the engineering team as Benikit grows.
Position Description
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about getting involved at the start of a promising company and would share Benikit's vision for changing the landscape of an industry that is starving for tech. They would have fullstack proficiency and be able to establish coding best practices while building new features for the platform.
Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the development and implementation of V2 of Benikit's platform, working closely with the CEO to ensure alignment with business objectives and client needs.

Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the platform, proactively identifying and addressing technical challenges.

Help support current clients by troubleshooting technical issues, implementing solutions, and providing exceptional customer service.

Lead the recruitment and hiring process for the engineering team and play a key role in growing the team as the company expands.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

7+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web applications and platforms.

Fullstack proficiency. Knowledge in React, Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL database or Firestore database, and Firebase auth, preferred.

Experience working in an early-stage startup environment is a plus.

Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Note: This position is equity only to start which means that this individual can work part-time if needed. Once funding is secured, a generous salary will be provided and this individual would be expected to work full-time.
