What is your team mission?
At 5AM, we build outstanding digital experiences and solutions for companies within the lifestyle, tech and sustainability sectors. We believe that we can make the world a little better with every great interaction between humans and the brands we design.
What does your workplace look like?
Our office is located in Hamburg, Germany, in the beautiful area of Eppendorf. Usually, half the team works in the office while the other half is fully remote. During the German winter, we might sometimes escape to warmer shores.
How does your team stay connected when working remotely?
Our team is distributed across Germany and Austria, with daily operations facilitated through brief messages and quick huddles on Slack. We prioritize minimizing meetings to create more headspace for focusing on important tasks. Every day, we hold a 15-minute stand-up using Around to discuss key points. At the end of our two-week cycle, we have a team meeting where everyone shares their experiences from the past two weeks, followed by an extended weekend—every second Friday is a day off.
Two to three times per year, we gather for a week-long workation at fantastic locations such as Cape Town, Fehmarn, or Austria, featuring amazing food, drinks and beautifully designed accommodations.
