Our design team spans multiple time zones and disciplines, but stays close through a mix of weekly rituals, Slack and Zoom chats, and in-person gatherings.

• Each Monday, Open Mic: we share how we’re feeling & screenshots of our work from the past week (recent examples below!), then a topic brought to the group (e.g. designing for celebration states in the product, how to evolve the UX of form controls in our design system)

• Tuesday & Thursday, Design Crit: we share in-progress work for feedback from other designers

• In-person meetups and travel: In addition to whole-company offsites, design team members working together on a project often fly to work together in-person.

Companion are a digital product design studio that partners with start-ups, brands and companies to create new realities.

We were founded in December 2020 and our small team of eight currently operates out of Shoreditch and the boroughs of London — with our extended network of freelancers and collaborates working from across Europe.

Our mission is to enhance the world around us by designing digital services and products that inspire, disrupt established norms and create a better future for people and planet.

We believe in equitable access to what the internet has to offer. But it’s hard to talk about equal access when nearly half of the websites fail to meet the necessary thresholds for core speed and user experience metrics. With each day, websites and services grow more complex and less accessible to a diverse, worldwide audience browsing the web from many contexts and settings.

While Calibre might look like a developer tool, we think anyone can positively impact user experience given the right tools and page speed literacy. That’s why we’re building a comprehensive platform for teams who want to understand and improve user experience. We know web performance is a complex space, so we’re focusing on delivering transparent reports that anyone can action.

The web was originally invented to share basic documents between universities, but in the last few decades it has transformed how billions of people live their lives. The web has become the new frontier of innovation and opportunity.

But, for every 400 people that use the web today, only 1 can truly build for it. That’s because building most things for the web — from a simple landing page to a more complicated application — still requires knowing how to code.

Webflow exists to dramatically change this reality. Our mission is to enable everyone to create for the web — and lead fulfilling, impactful lives while we do it.

Diego is working on a baby. Eric cooks fancy meals every day. Marcela goes kayaking in the most remote lakes in Canada. Zain is learning 3D modeling so he can fulfill his dream of becoming an NFT.

We split our time between content creation, spending time with the community (on social media, in our Discord channel, or having coffee chats), supporting the sales team, and helping the product and design teams build the best product possible.

As a company, Coda is super thoughtful about rituals and our Design team is too! We have weekly Design Crits, socials - which form the core rituals. But since we have a joint Product + Design team, we also have a weekly meeting to share work and processes.  We have a joint Product and Design team because we’re building an incredibly interconnected product and ecosystem around it. So our weekly get together is critical for building a thoughtful product!

We are a distributed group of 15+ designers, engineers and researchers working at the intersection of machine learning and design to make intelligent systems shapeable.

Our team has shipped products within startups, agencies and big companies like IDEO, Google, Facebook, IKEA, Frog Design, H&M, DDB and Medtronic.

We’ve recently moved into our brand new hub in King’s Cross at the heart of London. When you exit the station and look to your left you’ll be able to spot our hub immediately, an iconic glass wedge on top of a period building.

The office is equipped with the things we’ve always wished we had in our previous offices. It features a La Marzocco coffee machine (with Round Hill Roastery beans), Linoleum-top ‘Eiermann’ tables, Vitra chairs and other high quality furniture throughout.

We work from around the world and come together a couple of times a year to be together.

We work and live in San Francisco, Austin, Seattle, Toronto. D.C., Copenhagen, Chicago, Los Angeles, Portland, and more. As a team, we've visited San Francisco, Outer Banks, and New York City.

We are a team of 70+, including engineers, designers, writers, strategists, business developers, researchers, art directors, creative technologists, and everything in between.

Building digital products, brands and businesses, we help ambitious companies identify, explore and respond to new opportunities.

We're a team of designers and engineers spread across seven different countries who are really good at building applications. We’ve spent years working in-house at some of the world’s leading tech companies. We took all the good stuff we learned with us and left the bad stuff behind. Working with us should feel the same as having hired an internal design team. We work through the hard stuff together and in the end, create something great that delivers lasting value for your company.

We conduct a weekly jam session for folks to share what they're working on, get feedback, and try out different approaches to problems. This is a chance for everyone to help uplevel each other, while also staying up-to-date on what's the latest on our various projects.

We also have a channel in Slack called #design-drops where we share WIP Looms to get async feedback. As our team is spread out over 9 time zones, working async is a bit part of our culture. And finally, as with most things internally, all of our Figmas are open by default so anyone can hop in and drop feedback for others.

Andy and Mehdi first met in London while working together at Facebook, and became fast friends after discovering their shared love of Kendama. They would later meet Shen after discovering her intriguing lowercase profile on read.cv.

Our flagship product is a professional network called read.cv, or just CV for short. We like to call it a 'Show don't tell' professional network, meaning we encourage people to show off their side projects, writing, and talks, alongside their work experience and education.

Our goal is to create a low-key community where people can celebrate the work they do and find opportunities that match their values.

We're just starting out, but a lot of great people have already said wonderful things about us!
