• Beat focuses on New Jersey BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and disability communities and the issues that matter to them.
• Source, pitch and report 2 original digital multimedia stories weekly, managing multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Expand our newsroom’s multimedia storytelling through new digital content on YouTube and TikTok.
• Collaborate with producers and reporters to research, pre-interview and report via print or photo.
• Volunteer on our companywide DEI council to create internal programs that increase diversity and inclusivity.
• Appeared on our TV show and on radio with WNYC’s All Thing Considered to share my stories.

• Managed assignment desk team. Sourced stories, scheduled interviews and coordinated shoots for packages, anchor
interviews and VOSOTs for anchor, six reporters and three photographers.
• Curated stories via an anti-racist, DEI lens to diversify audience and increase representation and engagement.
• Field produced packages, which entailed coordinating interviews, finding MoS (vox pop), setting up shots for cameras,
captured b-roll footage (photo and video).
• Produced social justice stories for TV reporters — interviewed sources, assisted with story arc and found b-roll.

• Selected photos, created graphics and uploaded on CMS for ~500 news and educational articles, including for breaking news stories.
• Created editorial strategy for launch of audio and video products and developed surveys and analytics for launch.
• Developed guidelines around audio, video, graphics, photos and copy across all news and educational products.
• Edited our editorial style guide to meet DEI goals and was nominated to a cross-team anti-racist standards committee.

• Produced a 6-minute feature package on Seabrook Farms, a company that fast became a safe haven for Japanese internees at the end of WWII. This story was nominated for a 2018 Mid-Atlantic Emmy.

• Shot and edited daily MoS segments for air.
• Assisted reporters in the field by producing and shooting.
• Created social media posts for NJTV News's Instagram.
