Going back to school!
About
I am a fourth-year Computer Science student at the University of Saskatchewan. I am passionate about learning and acquiring new skills. I have 16 months experience working for the team responsible for building Tip Payouts & Tip Pooling at 7shifts.
I have always had a desire to learn and build web applications. By 2019, I could not wait any longer and decided to go back to school and pursue a degree in Computer Science. Over the last four years in school, I have learned to think like a programmer and solve complex problems. In 2021, I used my newly acquired skills to build a successful online business to market and sell products worldwide. In 2022, I started my internship at 7shifts where I spearheaded the engineering efforts for the Tip Payouts growth team. Additionally, I contributed significantly to many key initiatives and goals during my tenure.
In addition to spending my time in school, I like to manage and maintain my home lab, where I host a variety of applications for myself and my family.
My specialties include quick learning and efficient problem-solving. I am proficient in React, TypeScript, PHP, Python, Java, and C programming languages. I am actively learning new languages and frameworks to enhance my portfolio further. There is certainly yet more to learn, yet more problems to solve, and yet more to build.
