Hang is a B2B2C company which can be most simply described as "Stripe for Loyalty". Hang integrates directly with the brands' PoS (Toast/Shopify/Square).

Created creative web experiences within the app utilizing libraries like Three.js, Framer Motion, Lottie, and Rive.

Co-founded, architected, and developed a full-stack restaurant pop-up ticket selling platform (Souskasa.com), and a restaurant ordering platform (Onamenu.com).


Scaled to 12,000+ paying customers, $2MM+ processed.

Lead web engineering for Capital formerly known as Party Round (partyround.com) and now acquired by Rho (rho.co)

Built the main bank web application from scratch (app.capital.xyz)

Boston, MA

Initially hired as a lead product engineer to co-lead the web team for the DFS organization. Developed DFS Web app's Best ball Snake-draft feature focused on creating a smooth real-time user experience using live websocket event data.

Then went on to be the first technical lead at New Ventures organization to lead web initiatives. Built and launched DraftKings NFT Marketplace (marketplace.draftkings…). I defined the technical standards, documented coding best practices, and architected the frontend infrastructure for the whole product.

The team from 1 to 50+ engineers and I managed a team of 8 full-stack engineers until my departure.

I always championed improving outdated and inefficient practices/processes. upgraded the DFS web app to latest libraries and standards, standardized CI/CD pipelines, documented/formulated coding patterns and best practices, and much more.

2018 — 2020

Breadth of full-stack experience: implementing backend microservices using C# ASP.NET Core, responsive frontend UIs using React/Redux, and automating tasks using Python/bash.

Championed efficiency and keeping things simple/automated. Setup gitlab CI/CD pipelines, teraformed team's AWS infrastructure, and created various developer efficiency tools to ease strenuous/repetitive development tasks (e.g. New service bootstrap script & Parameter Store Manager: github.com/smblee/paramet…).


Migrated the team’s service infrastructure from Elastic Beanstalk to ECS and cut down the operation cost by 80%+.
