Work Experience
I officially joined rverse as a developer for rverse3, after previously assisting with research into the Wii U port of rverse2. I primarily work on the frontend.
Founded KakarikoHerald.com, a publication dedicated to bringing the latest in Nintendo (and Nintendo-related) news, in a digestible format, to everyone!
I am now the editor-in-chief and director of the site. As EiC/Director, I have:
- researched news topics and begin forming the basis for a report/article
- prepared, edited reports and articles for publication
- managing a team of writers, setting deadlines for when articles need to be enqueued for editing by, making expectations simple and clear
- managing a team of contributors, whom work with the Kakariko Herald team on a case-by-case basis.
- interfaced with companies (within the scope of our coverage) via text or email, introducing the publication and working to gain media contacts and resources
- maintained several editorial policies and standard procedures that govern the site's operations day-to-day
- ensured fair treatment of contributors and guest authors by not enforcing strict quantity rules, in other words: "Quality and integrity over quantity"
- Managed and scheduled social media posts to promote new articles
Volunteering
From January 2017-November 2022, I helped the webmaster design and implement a new WordPress-based site, prior to his retirement. As of November 2022, it has been taken on by someone else and the website has been redesigned again.
- Designed the website for the church
- Assisted webmaster in the move from HTML/CSS to WordPress Site
- Conceptualized ideas with church and webmaster
- Tested and improved the design of the website
This took place in July 2015 & July 2016.
- Helped operate the sounds system and projector
- Swapped slides for presenters as well as song lyrics
- Maintained and troubleshoot audio, video, and lighting equipment
- Prepared and positioned video and lighting
Projects
rverse is an open-source replacement for Miiverse on 3DS. The project's primary maintainer wants to bring it to Wii U, so I'm assisting in making that happen!
Speaking
In September 2018, I MC'd my high school's peace pole groundbreaking ceremony.
Writing
I'm particularly proud of the review I put together for Samurai Punk's "Justice Sucks" on Nintendo Switch. (Product provided by tinyBuild Games and Samurai Punk for review.)
Features
Yep, thanks to an article my friend (Tyson) wrote on an easter egg in Splatoon 3 for the site, we were mentioned in a YouTube Short/TikTok from GameXplain (yes, *that* GameXplain!)

In September 2018, I MC'd the ceremony in which my high school broke ground on the location of Sackett's new peace poles.
My fellow classmates and I gave back to our community by providing dog beds to Mohawk Humane Society. We also gave 25 floral arrangements to Evergreen Commons, and created handmade greeting cards for the people there!
