About

Product- and UX, designer and manager.

For 15+ years I've worked in both product and design roles on the brand and agency side. I'm experienced in B2B and B2C, open web and native, touch and cursor. I'm a curious mind who loves to (try to) understand people and making complex things obvious.

My goal is to empower people in their work or daily lives by making technology accessible, understandable and usable.

Currently: UX Director at MediaMonks in San Francisco, heading up our UX efforts in the Bay Area where we partner with the likes of Facebook, Twitter, Google, LinkedIn and ServiceNow to elevate their experience design and content strategy.

Projects

2024

Helped create a compelling content strategy and design system for Balmain's newly launched Beauty line. Striking the right balance between following e-commerce best practices and creating an innovative brand experience.

2023

By building a multiverse game experience, MediaMonks helped the NBA with their mission to empower the 99% of global fans who (can) never visit a NBA stadium.

2022
Relay Demo App at Google Material Design

Material Design released their “Relay” plugin, a new easier and quicker way to get your Figma designs into Android Compose.

For the release we created an app concept and design that would be accompanying the Relay tutorial.

2021
Pixel Retail Demos at Google

Helped create the concepts and design for all in-store device demos: Pixel 6, 7, 8 and the new Fold and Tablet

2020
Internal Collaboration Hub at MediaMonks / Mondelez

Helped create the concept and design for a platform that tracks projects, approvals, resources, and unifies all collaboration and communication across the agency / client partnership.

2020

Famous for their downloadable resources for designers, the Facebook design team wanted to evolve their website: showcasing more of their work, publishing a wider variety of content and addressing more design roles.

2019

With this new platform, Twitter wanted to make their transparency reports easier to understand and navigate for a general audience while still providing security researchers with flexible access to raw data.

2018

Created a branded platform for teams to discover and personalize adidas teamwear, and for retailers to manage their adidas team orders.

The goal was to leverage all the efficiencies of digital and online, without negating the service level of offline. And basically do for team sports what e-commerce had done for retail.

2016
Personal banking platform at ING Netherlands

Following the ING's success with their native mobile apps in the Netherlands, the challenge was to create a web experience that could gather the same positive reviews.

2015
US weightloss platform at Slimming World

After dominating the market for group-support-based weight loss in the UK, Slimming World was ready to take on the US! We created a service that combined the scalability of being online, with the personal support of being offline.

I led the functional design work stream, working directly with the client team to map out the desired experience, define features and set priorities.

2014
Product & UX at Shuffler FM

Helped creating the concept and design, and managed the roadmap and backlog for Shuffler, a slow music discovery platform based on human curation. We created apps for web, iPhone, iPad, Android, and Spotify and Deezer.
