I get asked a lot why I worked at so many start ups in short stints (~a year or less) instead of going into a large company earlier in my career. I loved working with small teams and many industries. However, being the first designer or founding designer for many — there's tech debt and navigating shortsighted infrastructure decisions optimized for testing.

You move consistently at a pace mimicking hackathons that lead to burnout or repetition that leads to work injuries.
