Leading the design efforts for our B2B developer platform experiences.

Contributions:
• Consumer facing CLEAR Design System 2.0 for Web.
• Redesign of our Enrollment and Verification kiosk applications.

• Companion mobile app for our Ambassadors to assist in their day-to-day operations in Airports.

Leading User Experience for the Ellucian Path Design System. I focus on scaling and maturing our design system to meet the needs of our partner teams and maximizing the value of our design system for our UX team.

Contributions:
• Rolled out Figma to our organization, reducing our tool usage from 3 separate tools to help reduce workload and increase efficiency.
• Built our UI Kit in Figma from scratch to ensure all of our components matched their production specs and could capitalize on all of Figmas features, including AutoLayout, Variants, and Interactive Components.
• Built and maintained 7 active Figma Libraries that are designed to give our UX team ready-to-go components and foundational styles for every project they undertake.
• Built text and video documentation for Figma for our UX team.
• Continually improved our components to become more visually appealing and meet the user experience needs of our domains.
• Solved complex UX scenarios with new components.

Product Design Lead at The Capital One Lab, exploring the intersection of emerging technology and finance to build innovative products and tackling Capital One's toughest problems by championing the voice of the customer.

Helping incubate one of Capital One's next generation platforms, I lead a small team of designers with an emphasis on building and nurturing a healthy team culture where design can lead from the front. I focus on our product value propositions, research, collaboration, and product strategy, as well as continue to contribute to the core user experience and visual design of our products. I interface directly with executive stakeholders, technical leads, and design leadership to ensure we are able to deliver products that meet core user and business needs.

Capital One Wallet (May 2016 - January 2018)

I supported the Capital One Wallet team as the Visual Design Lead for the Android application. I worked directly with executive Capital One stakeholders, product managers, engineers, and the broader design team to perform user testing and research, ideate and conceptualize new product visions, and constantly work to create an improved interface and well defined user experience and journey for Wallet customers.

Notable Projects:

  • Oversaw the implementation of our notable Wallet features into Capital One Mobile (with more than 20 million users) during the sun-setting of Wallet. This included features such as Google Pay and Apple Wallet activation, instant purchase notifications, and card lock.

  • Android Design Lead for the Capital One Wallet application. As of March 2018, we averaged a 4.6 star Customer Rating on Google Play with more than 60,000 reviews!

  • Design lead and strategic decision maker for the Capital One Wallet In-Store Discounts for Android, which was debuted at SXSW 2017.

  • Developed and defined a visual design framework​ and methodology for Capital One Wallet to work towards creating a cohesive brand experience across Android, iOS, and web.

  • Led design for unreleased experimental products that were being developed and tested within our LOB.

Capital One Focus (January 2018 - November 2020)

When Capital One Wallet sunset, it was time to move to something new. With the help of our talented research team and product partners we were able to turn an API into a user-centered experience with a refreshing and intuitive user interface that gave our customers a delightful experience that left them feeling empowered—not to mention a core platform that will power the future of Capital One.
