I was given the opportunity to intern two summers at the Institute for Faith and Culture at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. My second summer I was asked to be the designated Intern Coordinator; my roles included managing the lineup of keynote speakers, assisting the interns with their projects, and other administrative assignments. In addition, our group partnered with a Cuban church to organize a mission trip each summer.I was given the opportunity to intern two summers at the Institute for Faith and Culture at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. I worked for my local Chick-Fil-A restaurant during my high school Sophomore and Junior summers. After working my first summer, I was encouraged by multiple team leaders to return for the following summer, which I did. I learned and practiced real-world people skills, as well as management skills.
Volunteering
I volunteered as a Team Leader with Youth For Christ, a nonprofit dedicated to serving middle schoolers in the Tuscaloosa middle school system. As part of my role, I helped organize and run events, which included food, games, mentorship, and group sessions.
