About me:
🙇🏻‍♀️ As a driven individual with a passion for UX design, I am deeply committed to putting the user's voice at the forefront of my work. With the growing importance of UX in shaping company decisions, I aspire to be a UX designer with strong storytelling skills that strike a balance between user needs and business goals. My goal is to make the digital landscape a better place for everyone by championing the user's voice.

👩🏻‍💻 In addition to UX design, I am eager to expand my knowledge in the field by exploring the connections between UX and development. To achieve this, I am currently strengthening my skills in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JS, as well as in data analytics using SQL, R and Python.

🌱 Open to help individuals break into UX, raw and honest conversation of the good, the bad, and the ugly. I have had the opportunity to engage with individuals exploring a career switch into UX, and is willing to share my experiences and offer guidance to those looking to transition into UX or those seeking to explore their career path in a different field. I firmly believe that finding one's passion is a cause for celebration and joy.

Other things I am up to:
✌🏻 I am a ceramic artist/potter on the side and run a humble online store for functional homeware. Mainly targeting drinkware and functional tableware forms. Much still needs to be learnt, currently studying on glaze chemistry to concoct my own glazes and achieve my personal style and colour as an artist.

🛒 Online Purchase Journeys
• Spearheaded the end-to-end research, design, ideation, stakeholders buy in concept of Singlife’s Purchase Journeys.
• Achieved significant conversion and click through rate metrics for this revamp
• Iterative rework of the CJ and UI design for the direct purchase journeys across different products, life, general insurance, investment.

Working on payment methods in Singlife app to top up Singlife Account and Paying to businesses.

👷🏻‍♀️ Design Systems
Worked on Singlife's design system while having a blast of a time with the team and Figma's new update of variables and redefining of foundations to achieve a more complete design system.
• Organising and refining colour styles, typography and components into variables based on atomic design 2.0 structure
• Collaborated and worked closely with the design team on standardising our components across all platforms
• Documentation and identifying the use cases of components for standardisation and a one source of truth

✨ After acquiring valuable insights from mentors on ADPlist while breaking into UX, and gaining experience as a UX designer over the past years, I am eager to share my knowledge and give back to the community.

📙 I wish to engage with fellow designers who are starting their journey in UX, as well as mid-career professionals who are considering a switch to UX. An innovative tech consultancy based in a regional collaborative agile environment. Heavily focused on OTT platforms, creating beautiful usable solutions with a human centric approach for clients.

• Presented and aligned screens based on the business requirements, journeys and user stories, working closely with clients.

• Worked extensively on revising and managing the design system for OTT products. With fluency in atomic design, components, auto-layout and design guidelines - material design, human interface guidelines.

• Designed and prototyped screens across multiple types of devices with a responsive mobile first approach (Mobile, Desktop, TV)

Revamp of Singlife General Insurance (GI) Portfolio Digital Journey at Singlife

Played a core role along with my product owners, leading this initiative with support from fellow UX Designers from my team.

The goal of this was to introduce the new Singlife branding and make the purchase of GI consumable and easy to purchase. This initiative was also coordinated with the engineering team, where common components are utilised to reduce the workload and time spent across the design and engineering workflow. This greatly reduced the time needed to revamp our whole GI portfolio.Played a core role along with my product owners, leading this initiative with support from fellow UX Designers from my team. The goal of this was to introduce the new Singlife branding and make the purchase of GI consumable and easy to purchase. This initiative was also coordinated with the engineering team, where common components are utilised to reduce the workload and time spent across the design and engineering workflow. This greatly reduced the time needed to revamp our whole GI portfolio.

2023

The successful launch of Singlife's new product which caters to online purchase of shield insurance. It is a no-frills product with little or close to no underwriting, whereby answering a few questions you can get a quote with interactive graphs and video explainers to help you understand the product features, and clear your health underwriting.

The digital journey went through another revamp from Singlife's CareShield design system, and introduces a fresh design with more interactive components and use of cooler colour palettes to reduce eye strain for users that tend to spend long time spent on digital devices. It is designed with a mobile first approach, hence you will not lose out any form of information even when purchasing on mobile.

2022

The pilot product for this redesign is Singlife CareShield a pretty well-known product in the financial industries and by customers. This initiative looked into customer journeys, translating quantitative and qualitative data along with research studies, helping us make informed decisions into our final design.

This project sets a base template, with defined components and interactions for all future direct journeys and self serve products across L&H, GI, Investment.
