Brand Strategy & Innovation in Copenhagen, He/Him
About
Dear Kathrina,
From developing AI recipe tools with Google and David Zilber to bringing future food recipes to the National Mall with SPACE10 and IKEA, I’ve had the unique experience of using brand strategy to pioneer food innovation in recent years. I would love the opportunity to continue this work with Noma.
Between innovation labs like SPACE10 and Google’s Creative Lab, and youth culture institutions like VICE, my 10-year career has laid a strong foundation for growing unconventional brands with global impact. During this time, I’ve led teams, built partnerships, developed marketing strategies, and launched products to international acclaim—earning endorsements from the UN, Danish Government, The New York Times, and TED.
At SPACE10, the future living lab and spiritual predecessor to Noma 3.0, I worked closely with the co-founder to strategically and creatively guide the brand’s growth and direction—opening new cultural and consumer spaces, product innovations, and expressions for the brand. It was a unique experience that I’m eager to bring to Noma as it expands beyond the restaurant into new and unforeseen areas.
I am driven by the belief that food can shape the future of our planet, and I hope to lead with these values—driving collaboration through a shared sense of responsibility for the brand's role in guiding this future. Coming from a Black American family with a passion for soul food, there’s nothing I believe more than the cultural power of connecting through food.
With rapid technological advances and critical climate challenges ahead, it’s more important than ever we come together to find new ways forward.
I hope we have the chance to do so.
Best regards,
Ryan

With elections to the EU referendum taking place in 2016, it was crucial for young people to have a say in their future, yet many tended to fall at the first hurdle: registering to vote before the deadline.
We disguised a political message with something more eye-catching: goat gifs. Hacking Facebook, we built a simple sharing mechanic that not only acted as a powerful reminder to register, but encouraged young people to pass it on.
