Series A - Sequoia Capital

It's impossible to name a team at VEED that I haven't played a fundamental part. During my three years I pushed teams to their limit at different stages: some who just came to be, others who needed refreshment or for cracking tough nuts. Below are my highlights:

Growth team

I built micro tools (landing page products ranking for SEO keywords) such as video compressor, converter, and this led me to the Recorder which:

  • maintained 10% WoW for 4 months,

  • 0 to 100k WAU in less than a year,

  • the 2nd larges acquisition channel, driving 23% of all traffic & exports

  • Recorder users' retention 87% to date

  • main driver for the largest ever Enterprise deal (adding a 380K ARR with ~1200 seats)

B2B team

due to changing markets where single-seat video makers churning, I helped set up the B2B team to boost Enterprise deals:

  • created the review mode & commenting in the core product resulting ~200% increase in adoption in 9 months

  • hired two designers to expand the team

Editor / Subtitles teams

  • I fixed UX and stability issues to reduce Subtitles-related churn from 17% (!) to 10.9% in a year affecting CLTV

  • beating the 41 NPS SaaS industry average with 55, where 29% of mentions related to Subtitles

  • created entire new flows from onboarding to success moment, (transcribing, picking subtitles, editing transcript) that reduced Time on Task by average ~3mins

  • increased Preset usage from 34% to 54% saving time and fixing discoverability

Editing by Text

is a new form of editing, much adaptable for inexperienced users. This is a big bet for the company as it aims to replace timeline-based paradigms. I was tasked with the market research, concept and delivery of this core product.

  • led the user research, and managed two UXR

  • created the documentation for engineers—a comprehensive multi-track mechanism

Design System

I set the foundations for future team members, and led the audit of old components and drove shadCN adoption, replacing 3 different set of React styled components.

Filmhub is a global, all-rights, film & TV distributor.
I joined to plan and build the Performance Analytics platform.
Also lead the design system transition from Chakra UI to shadCN.
