This paper examines emerging theories of perception and their relation to metabolic processes and presents the interactive installation Guilty Pleasures, informed by these theoretical principles. The metabolic nature of perception is particularly apparent in the experiences relating to the oral cavity, and this work explores this through an intra-oral electronic interface, combined with other modalities for enacting illusory sensations of eating, together with the exploration of the phenomenology of craving and the pica condition.

«Sexploration» is an interactive, sensory installation that delves into the complexity of sexuality by utilising a collection of materials associated with sexual experiences. Through a playful approach, visitors can engage with personal stories on an emotional level, advancing empathy and understanding. By integrating sensory stimuli intimately tied to the narratives, we create an immersive experience that encourages self-awareness and fosters open-mindedness. As visitors explore these, interplay between materials, stimuli and personal stories, they gain a deeper understanding of the impact societal norms have on us, ultimately leading to more inclusive conversations and reflections on this essential aspect of human life.

Parse String
Wearable & Performance - Nov. '22 by Sandro Beti, Eleonora Bonorva, Janosch Tillich, Johannes Reck, Fabrizio Willi
Objects and people can serve as sources of information to which attention can be paid. Attention can be shifted between them, resulting in different information being received. This information is manifested abstractly on strings on the body with varying colors and intensities.
We imagine our work to be an interplay between a fictional and a real scenario. We want to work with the materialisation of non-tangible data and thus make the invisible visible. Furthermore we connect strings to the body in order to limit the movements, but also to underline the direction of the movements in space. At the same time, the costume turns the body into an abstract figure, capable of describing data through geometry and movement.
