Released as part of ICYT's SS24 season across multiple accessories, "Tropa" Camo is a custom camouflage print designed by Raeland Mendoza.
The print uses abstract shapes derived from photographs of flowers in the Philippines, ranging from city Dangwa's (Flower Markets) in Manila to the rural rain forests of Ilocos Sur.
With a history steeped in occupation and military conflict, Tropa Camo seeks to reclaim and pay homage the beauty of the islands, while exploring Filipino diasporic identity.
