About
I'm the founder of Upperquad, a creative company based in San Francisco. For almost two decades I've been working with forward-looking teams to build strategic visual systems, digital experiences, and brand identities. Deeply curious and always captivated with possibility.
Projects
From a humble start in a spare bedroom, Upperquad has grown into a talented team of strategists, illustrators, producers, designers and developers. Together we create memorable experiences that connect with audiences, inspire change and accelerate growth.
I've led teams on a series of collaborative projects with Google ranging from AI to X. Brands identities for Google Drive, Google Cloud, and Jigsaw. The launch of Google Santa Tracker and 9 subsequent years of fun and reindeer games. And many more projects large and small reaching millions of people.
Patagonia has been making strides to protect our world. I led the Upperquad teams that worked closely with Patagonia in Ventura, California and Amsterdam. We partnered on immersive digital experiences and identities for a series of initiatives that connect progress with culture.
Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford University — also known as the d.school — is a place where students use design to develop their creative potential. I worked closely with the d.school as Upperquad helped rethink how they could use their website, developing models of how to celebrate and amplify contributions from all parts of the organization.
