This exploration may reflect on the human condition, viewed through the lens of the extraordinary and the surreal.
This series explores the tension between anonymity and expression in urban environments. The human form, often obscured or fragmented, becomes a vessel for both vulnerability and strength. The starkness of concrete and steel is juxtaposed with the ephemeral nature of light, creating a visual language that speaks to the city's inherent contradictions: isolation amidst crowds, beauty found in decay.

The glass panels, etched with intricate lines and circuits, become canvases for exploring the interplay between order and chaos. The visible wiring, usually hidden within the "black box" of technology, becomes an aesthetic element, its delicate pathways suggesting both connection and constraint.
Writing
As an art director studying product design, I found myself drawn to scientific papers—especially in AI. Designing covers for these papers started as practice, but soon it became my niche. My goal is to bring warmth and human connection to technical content. Inspired by Dario Amodei’s essay, *“Machines of Loving Grace,”* this essay summary captures what AI means on both an intellectual and personal level.
The peach and blue color palette comes from my junior high. My school walls were peach, my uniform pants were blue, and many textbooks had the same colors. These colors represent structure, curiosity, and learning. When I read Amodei’s thoughts on AI’s potential to transform education, health, and society, these colors felt right—linking my past experiences of learning with the future of intelligence Amodei envisions.
The smaller image represents the brain's electrical activity and the merging of biology, consciousness, and machines. The electric blue symbolizes the flow of neural energy—where biological and technological meet. It shows the evolving relationship between natural systems and machine intelligence, mirroring the curiosity I felt in those classrooms.
Work Experience
As a former cook turned product designer, the parallels are clear—both roles require thriving under pressure, leading without formal authority, and precise preparation. Just like in a busy kitchen, where preparation (mise en place) ensures seamless cooking, a product designer's preparation—prototyping, user research, and spec documentation—makes execution smooth. The ability to make decisions with incomplete information and to keep a team aligned under stress are vital skills both in the kitchen and in product design, driving creativity and results in challenging environments.
