My name is Pedro Mitre and I'm a graphic designer based in São Paulo, Brazil. I'm passionate about branding and visual identity, packaging design, digital design and illustration, as well as experimenting, whenever I can.
Currently working at Keenwork Design, I have 6+ years of experience in brand design and packaging. I'm always gathering inspiration, be it online or wandering the city I love, and with that inspiration I create a variety of projects, all with the goal of delivering efficient design to differerent client sizes.

Education
Certifications
Introductory Branding course hosted by the Brazilian agency Laje | Ana Couto where they share some of the main aspects of the graphic design specialization.
I undertook this course to enhance my ability to produce better art toys for Pocket Toy Co., a brand I also created as a hobby to explore different mediums when working with action figures, collectibles and pop culture in general.

Features
I was featured on an interview for Misto Quente, a Zine showcasing independent creatives focused on comics and pop culture, as "Pocket Toy Co.", the brand I own where I create art toys in the Brazilian scene
I was nominated for the Best Printed Portfolio for the 2019-2 category of the Emilie Chamie Award, an academic achievement in ESPM-SP's Visual Design bachelor's degree.
Projects
The psychologist Marina Wielewicki Galli specializes in female self-esteem and affective relationships. With a goal to rethink her digital presence, she came to us looking for a brand revamp, based on her own name. During the creation process, Marina asked us to study a route inspired by the Protea flower, and it was based on this new symbol of resilience and survival in adverse situations that we achieved the visual identity as presented. Like the flower, Marina has the ability to help her patients overcome obstacles and situations throughout their lives.
Presto® is the market leader in the soluble coffee category in Nicaragua. Seeking to strengthen the perception of quality and specialty that its products transmit to its consumers, the brand went further with the special edition of Jinotega, a city with remarkable geographical features, especially its mountain area, and nickname "ciudad de las brumas" - the city of fog. These factors impact local coffee production and contribute to a special edition that enhances national pride, as well as the packaging project with premium status.
Side Projects
I founded an art toys, collectibles and apparel brand as a personal project that originated from a hobby. It has the objective of creating unique objects based on pop culture, while connecting with other toy collectors, enthusiasts and admirers. All with the help of graphic design applied in packaging, consistent brand applications and developing the desire of something from the brand.
Exhibitions
Hosted by an independent comic book publisher and store (Ugra Press), Alt Toys is an event where makers showcase and sell toy art, handmade and bootleg toys. I had the opportunity to attend as the person behind Pocket Toy Co., my personal brand of collectibles, toy art and apparel and interact both with other makers and the general public.
Writing
Considered by the editors as an academic magazine, not a scientific one, since it deals with subjects related to the daily life of education and professional practice in Graphic Design, and is not strictly linked to research. The purpose is to gather and share experiences and knowledge about design and visual culture, coming from internal and external collaborators to the ESPM Design course.
