Projects

2023

WHAT IT IS:

Ideated as a hub for questions/advice/general discussion strictly related to Colleges and Universities. It's an upvote/downvote style message board with capabilities and a UI built for ease of navigation. Users have the ability to add schools, topic threads, posts, replies, and so on...

TECHNICAL STUFF / LANGUAGES:

  • Designed a user-centric frontend so that the site is read-only unless the user is logged in, which then unlocks the ability to edit, vote, reply.

  • Utilized flask models, and SQL infrastructure, to efficiently build out a series of back-end tables to store universities, posts, threads, users.

  • Led a cross-functional implementation of the upvote/downvote functionality and secure user authentication, resulting in increased user engagement and seamless navigation.

FUTURE ADD ONS:

  • Build out the existing profile login functionality to show user profile pages, see the schools, threads, posts, people have contributed to.

  • Streamline the "add school" functionality in order to automatically build out some infrastructure on a school's page as soon as it's created.

2023

WHAT IT IS:

A revamp of the classic old school arcade game where the user controls a space ship fixed at the bottom of the screen and must eliminate the incoming hordes of aliens while dodging their attacks. Increased difficulty as the level increases in order to keep the player engaged.

TECHNICAL FEATURES / LANGUAGES USED:

  • Created an interface for the game to be displayed on which can be initialized through the terminal.

  • Wrote out the movement for both player and enemies, as well as the movement of their lasers, using python and using key_press capabilities.

  • Implemented a backend database to which each user score would be saved.

FUTURE ADD ONS:

  • Build out a database capable of handling all players scores once deployed, rather than just housing them locally.

  • Build out the necessary SwiftUI capabilities to deploy to the IOS app store.
