Vodafone Cash is Africa's leading mobile money service, with over 37 million active customers and almost 400,000 active agents operating across 7 countries.
Vodafone’s challenge was ensuring liquidity whilst balancing against credit risk assessments. Specifically, how do we monitor; agent credit risk, transaction levels, nearby subscribers and demand they generate for nearby agents, supply chain activities associated with cash distribution.
My team and I delivered a tailored mobile experience augmenting agents’ workflow; through a real-time monitoring dashboard and the ability to predict anomalies and risks, respond to notifications, automate manual processes and complete BAU workflows.
Being a cross-cultural project, our team faced several challenges throughout the UX phase; from understanding the cultural nuance of employees across Ghana to integrating a SaaS without the use of smart-enabled devices for Vodafone’s employees.
