We are seeking an experienced and talented UX Engineer to join our Design team. You’ll help us push the boundaries of exceptional user experiences.

While we’re a remote company, ideally, you’re in Boston or New York, but we’d consider exceptional candidates throughout the Eastern Timezone. The Design team is all located in this timezone, and we want to ensure there is plenty of overlap to collaborate with our teammates in India.

As a UX Engineer & Designer, you will be responsible for the following:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product Managers, Developers, and Stakeholders) to define, design, and implement user-centric interfaces and experiences.

• Creating wireframes, user flows, and prototypes using web technology to communicate design ideas clearly and effectively.

• Implementing highly interactive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (our prototypes are built in Svelte and our production apps are currently written in Vue), and working with TailwindCSS.

• Conducting user research, usability testing, and gathering feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on existing solutions.

• Keeping up-to-date with the latest design trends, industry standards, and best practices to ensure our products remain cutting-edge and user-focused.

• Contribute to maintaining design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency across products.

• Proactively identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions to enhance user satisfaction and product performance.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field.

• A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX design and front-end development.

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a UX Engineer, Designer, or similar role.

• Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly Svelte, and experience with TailwindCSS.

• A deep understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility standards.

• Familiarity with design software, such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

• A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

• Experience working in a fast-paced, iterative development environment – we’re a start up!

Bonus Qualifications:

• Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques.

• Knowledge of back-end development, APIs, and data-driven applications.
