About

I enjoy solving ambiguous problems and building user experiences 0→1.

When I'm not designing, I rewatch the office, travel and attempt to master french on Duolingo

Think of the millions of African designers and UX professionals struggling to find local, relevant, and culturally aligned design inspiration to create products that resonate with their market— This is the gap I’m hoping to fill with this platform

Work Experience

2023 — Now

• Owning the design for app navigation, account creation & onboarding UX, user profiles, notifications, feedback systems, and dispute resolution. Utilised user research and usability testing to refine product-market fit for features and updates

• Collaborating across PODs with stakeholders and designers, leveraging strong communication skills to provide impactful design feedback during syncs. Played a role in the company launch by creating pitch decks and driving successful beta testing of the app

2023 — 2024
Product design lead at Vegeel
Remote

• Spearheaded the MVP design of a web-based automation platform for cybersecurity as the founding designer

• Shaped product direction through diverse user research methodologies (competitive analysis, heuristics and User testing), ensuring strong product-market fit

• Owned end-to-end design of features within a Web B2B compliance automation platform, aligning with business objectives for optimized client experiences

• Led the design processes by iteratively redesigning workflows in agile sprints, collaborating cross-functionally (Product Managers, Engineers, Product Owner) – from designing core product features, design system, landing pages and owning consumer-and business-facing experiences

2023 — 2024
Glasgow, United Kingdom

• Led a 6-month design transformation preparing the product for a successful relaunch. This involved performing comprehensive UX audits of existing platform, market research, and brand/visual identity refresh. The resulting MVP, based on user research and testing, secured 7 paying clients on day one and facilitated rapid user growth (50 users to 500 in the first week after relaunch)

• Established user-centred design principles. Conducted user interviews and audits to understand user needs and pain points. This informed the MVP feature prioritisation and resulted in a user-friendly product that achieved high early adoption

• Prepped the Refer Me team for a competitive accelerator program. This included crafting compelling pitch decks, showcasing the product's value proposition, and ensuring the team's alignment with the program's goals

Writing

2024

As data security regulations become progressively stricter and complex, businesses are turning to tools to help them automate the complex and tedious processes. For these solutions to actually become mainstream, it is critical to prioritise user experience (UX) that is simple, functional, and easy-to-use.

Volunteering

2023 — Now

I mentor new and budding designers on how to navigate the design industry, level up their skills, prepare for job opportunities, and advocate for themselves within their organizations. I especially welcome people from underrepresented/underserved communities

2023 — 2024

I spearheaded the creation and management of a resource library. This initiative empowers women in the design industry by providing them with a centralized hub for valuable resources and fostering a nurturing support network.
