I have worked with students and staff from across the school to help develop this year's school magazine - including conducting interviews, co-writing articles, and undertaking the overall design & production of the magazine.
Speaking
I spoke about my experience of how a Digital Leadership programme can benefit teaching and learning, through assisting teachers directly in-class, providing tailored support, and the benefits of Google Workspace for Education in real-world usage as a student.
As a Digital Leader of many years, I described my experience and the many things that Digital Leaders can assist with all throughout the education environment - from assisting staff members to providing real-world feedback on new educational technologies.
I spoke about my journey and experience of being a Digital Leader, and how Digital Leaders can affect learning directly in the classroom and help the school community through topics such as online safety,

Work Experience
I am currently undertaking a work experience placement at Magicka, with a paid part-time aspect. I am shadowing other employees to learn, and assisting them with tasks as well as carrying many out myself. Together, this allows me to have a greater understanding of how education technology operates in many different environments and to learn the technicalities of this infrastructure - as well as experience working within a local small business.
I have successfully migrated a complex organisation comprising of three separate businesses to Google Workspace, simplifying employees’ IT usage and unifying resources and access. I also assist in social media & marketing, designing posts for various platforms and advising on the best ways to utilise technology & the Internet for a small local business.
As well as designing effective social media posts for both of these local businesses and their connected charity, I have designed and maintained websites for each of them - enabling them to connect with customers more easily, promote products, and encourage charitable fundraising.
Volunteering
I work day-to-day with both high-level members of staff at the school and students, assisting with all manner of technical queries and support. I also work with the IT manager in order to manage, monitor, and develop the network and other technical infrastructure, including Google Workspace.
Additionally, I help to lead the Digital Leader team, coordinating with members of staff and other students in order to run an effective scheme allowing students to assist teachers directly in-class and relieve stress from the IT team.
As Subject Ambassador for Computer Science, I assist the department in presenting the subject to students looking to make their GCSE and A-Level choices.
As the editor of Devonport Spectator, I assisted in relaunching the school magazine - including editing articles and co-ordinating the writing teams.
I organised & hosted an official Code Club, teaching students the languages of the future.
As Charity Representative, I was responsible for organising events and more to raise money for multiple local, national, and international charities.
For three years in a row, I successfully organised a bake sale to raise money for Little Hearts Matter, a national charity supporting people like me with only half a working heart.
I assisted in the organisation of multiple boat trips to watch the British Fireworks Championships, raising money for Little Hearts Matter, a national charity supporting people like me with only half a working heart.
Education
I am currently undertaking A-Level courses in Business, Computer Science, and Politics.
10 GCSEs obtained in 2022, all at Grade 5 (C) or above.
Average grade of 6.8.
Certifications
I undertook training to become a Be Strong Online Ambassador, enabling me to provide advice, support, and information to students about staying safe online and using social media responsibly.
