About
Nick Finck is a UX professional with over two decades of experience in the industry. He strives to improve people’s lives through crafting well-designed experiences that matter. Nick currently consults businesses on UX design and research through Craft & Rigor in Seattle. Before this, he was in leadership roles at Amazon Web Services, Facebook, Ubermind, Deloitte Digital, projekt202, and his own agency Blue Flavor.
Nick's contributions to the UX community go far and wide. He is an experienced public speaker and has given over 102 talks in 10 countries. He has mentored countless industry professionals and career transitioners. Nick is also the curator of UXSeattle.org, a resource for UX professionals in the greater Seattle area. Earlier in his career, he was the publisher of Digital Web Magazine, an online magazine for web professionals.

Instructed Seattle’s user experience design immersive class for those looking to transition into the field of UX. Improved and expanded curriculum to include better integration with industry partners and updated lessons to include modern approaches to UCD, current design tools, and modernized design techniques.
Built and managed a team of 9 product designers across 12 major products that served 1.79 billion monthly active users. Drove design efforts that resulted in more than 1 billion in revenue per quarter and 2.5 billion in revenue for developers. Championed best practices in product design & collaborated with research, content strategy, data science, engineering, product management & technical product management.
Oversaw UX design, UX research, and Design Ops efforts in a 10,000+ person organization and 7.3 billion dollar business. Managed a team of around 30 UX designers, UX researchers, and UX managers. Drove research and design direction, as well as the creation of design systems across 10 VPs, 2 SVP, and 150 products & services. Led all internal training, hiring, mentoring, and resourcing for UX.
