Over the past 15+ years, I have partnered with ambitious studios, start-ups, and companies to create beautiful, meaningful interfaces. Whether working with large organizations on multi-year endeavours or quick prototypes for small and agile teams, I craft with care, speed, and precision.
Work Experience
As a Design Director, I lead and contribute to the interaction, visual, and motion design for companies of varying sizes, from enterprises to startups. My focus has been primarily on designing e-commerce platforms, creating 0 to 1 product designs, developing design systems, and optimizing data-informed growth.
While at Thoughtworks Canada (formerly Connected), I led product design teams, guiding them through the entire design process from research, concept development, and validation to final delivery. I worked on various projects, including web and native applications and software for emerging hardware. As a member of the design leadership group, I played an active role in driving team growth through regular ceremonies and critiques. Additionally, I managed a team of four early/mid-career members, overseeing their development and progress.
As the Design Lead at Huge Inc, I collaborated with research, creative, product, and development teams to launch e-commerce and content platforms for Telus and Mountain Equipment Co-op. In addition, we developed foundational design systems for the client's internal teams to further enhance each platform. I was also involved in steering strategic team goals while serving on the design leadership team.
While at Teehan+Lax, I was part of a team that worked on creating innovative ideas and initial models for enhancing content authoring and community interaction. These concepts later became the foundations for Medium and Youtube Gaming. Additionally, I led the visual design of Scotiabank's digital wallet, the first of its kind.
