2025

Twenty-four hours unfolding in three phases: work, rest, and collaboration. The performance was a state of becoming—a zen progression, a way of navigating and being within the world. It is an aspiration, a presence: unwired, phone-less, enclosed within an isolated box. For me, Blutone embodies zero—a balance point, colder below, warmer above—a liminal state suspended between extremes. It is the state I seek to inhabit through performance.

Breathe collectively
Gradually lean back using full weight
Close your eyes

2024

A set of fifty scores drawn from seven performances made between 2017-2024. Rooted in the idea that play is central to culture, these scores guide participants through diverse actions and imaginative exercises.

2024
Floorwork (Generator) at EMG

Audience members activate performers by selecting prompts from a set of fifty scores. These scores guide the performers through a variety of actions and imaginative exercises.

2024
Oceanic feeling at The Watermill Center

Inspired by the Myth of Sisyphus and Romain Rolland's idea of the 'oceanic feeling', these performances explore the pursuit of meaning, as the performer continuously runs on a treadmill.

2023
Intermission at DOOR

A club night was abruptly halted by a singing choir, bringing all lights and sounds to a sudden stop. The choir, illuminated by a spotlight, slowly smirked as they chanted for one minute until the spotlight extinguished and they disappeared.

2023
The Storm at Sandberg Instituut

Short film following the journey of eleven individuals as they ascend a staircase, transporting them to an alternate reality.

2022
Rooting at Sandberg Instituut

Move on the wooden grid at a slow pace, using both hands and feet. Rest on ceramic fungi once the operation is completed.

2021

A four-hour performance piece revolving around the idea of slowness in response to the acceleration of a rapidly forward-moving world. Rather than following a script, the performers engage in slow motion, fully focused on the present moment. An emergent choreography arises, whose full movements may only be grasped if the witness also endures.

2021
Nova at Sandberg Instituut

Connect with each other by finding each other's eyes. Inhale and exhale deeply three times. Decide when to start movements while carrying the glass. Use the voice for energy release and find harmony together.

2020
Saga at Museum IJsselstein

Twelve performers descend from a standing posture to the floor. The slow motion and concentration required of the performers results in extended intervals of inactivity. The slow pace of the performance allows the performer to meet their body's resistance.

2019

A performance researching the ecstasy of our existence through manually operating a sequence of bodily movements.

2018
Evolver

This project researches balance and focused movements across diverse landscapes during hikes across the world. Scores created spontaneously during these journeys were later reimagined and presented as a performance, inviting the audience to engage actively and become part of the work.

2018
Method at Het resort

A choreographic exercise made to explore group dynamics and heighten awareness through repetitive movements. The performance is filmed in 360 degrees which invites spectators to fully immerse themselves in the meditative space of the performers.

2017
island at Academie Minerva

The audience activated this performance by reading movement-scores to the performers. While the audience could choose from a range of actions, the performers controlled the duration and intensity of each action over a total period of twenty-four hours.
