I've previously worked at Qurate, a marketing startup in Fukuoka, Japan, About You, a fashion and tech startup in Hamburg, Germany, and WonderBill, a fintech startup in Manchester. Most recently I was at Progression, helping to define and measure career growth.
Projects
Progression's current onboarding flow fails to set customers up in the right way and doesn’t show the unique value of the product. The aim it to create a guided experience for new users. After the first session, customers should feel inspired, motivated, and have a clear understanding of how framework components fit together.
The new onboarding flow maintained a high completion rate and customers felt more confident with how the component parts of Progression worked, and what was possible. While a follow up "get started" screen provided useful insights into user intentions, with 20% of people choosing to explore their new framework and 13% exploring other prebuilt frameworks.
The project aimed to streamline the creation of team skills by leveraging AI. The challenge was the time-consuming nature of writing skills, which required alignment across teams and the input of experts in different disciplines.
Introducing new AI interventions to the skill modal saw a 100% increase in the creation of skill descriptions and examples, demonstrating the potential of AI in simplifying complex processes and sparking excitement for future expansion.
When building their teams Progression customers faced issues related to content ownership, alignment, impact considerations, and visibility during this process. The goal of this project was to create a solution that would help users confidently move through build stages by providing a clear understanding of their progress and tasks.
User testing yielded positive feedback, and the Team Hub gained traction, providing valuable insights for both users and customer service. In just over a two week period there were 262 status changes, with 36 (14%) going from In Progress to In Review.
WonderBill's initial offering had issues such as lacking Open Banking, user engagement, accurate data and useful budgeting features. Version 2.0 aimed to overhaul and expand, leveraging Open Banking for automated bill tracking, improved financial control, and organisation. People loved it, with 90% of testers giving it a solid 4 out of 5. WonderBill was later acquired by Legado in 2022.
About You Cloud Enterprise Tools is a series of tools including PIM (product inventory management), OMS (order management system), check-out and a front end editor to help retailers scale their online shops. My role was to maintain and expand the Cloud Design System as well as solve usability issues, and design new features. This included improving the complex product detail page in the PIM system and reimagining the front-end editor for flexibility and reusability.
The app accounts for a substantial portion of income and customers for About You in Germany. Research and analysis revealed issues such as unclear voucher and gift card input, a cluttered payment selection process, and a high abandonment rate. The redesign focused on simplifying checkout steps and enhancing clarity.
Qurate Hub, a social media application, was developed to assist inexperienced marketers and business owners in crafting effective content strategies for digital marketing. Unlike bloated, complex marketing platforms, Qurate Hub aimed to simplify the process and cater to users in all stages of marketing expertise. Qurate Hub offers modular solutions, allowing users to customize their approach and provides educational content to add value at each step of the marketing process.

At About You, one of Europe's fastest-growing e-commerce companies and Hamburg's first unicorn in 2018, I played a key role in redesigning the checkout for the B2C shop app and served as the lead designer for the B2C store management web app, About You Cloud.

At Qurate Hub, a B2C social media web app, I served as the sole designer, overseeing the complete end-to-end design of the platform.

Fluid Digital is a specialist e-commerce agency working with some of the UK's top brands. I was the lead designer on all e-commerce projects.
