The challenge we encountered was related to our previous payment provider, which had a transaction turnaround time of **two weeks** before funds appeared in our trust account. This delay had several adverse effects, including complications in our reconciliation and audit processes, as well as customer dissatisfaction due to the extended processing time displayed on our dashboard and mobile app.

### **Solution**

In response, we sought a solution by transitioning to an NPP-enabled payment provider. This strategic move resulted in a remarkable reduction in payment turnaround times, diminishing the period from two weeks to just a matter of days.

### **Contribution**

Throughout this project, I made significant contributions across multiple facets. I assumed a central role in shaping and designing solutions for the revamped payment provider system. This encompassed constant communication with the technical team at the payment provider to reduce the uncertainties. My active involvement extended to the development of a new payment provider module, which involved refactoring and extracting payment logic into a distinct, pluggable module. 

Moreover, I contributed to the automation and scheduling of various payment categories, as well as the **seamless migration** of existing users to the new payment provider, ensuring a smooth transition without any disruptions or downtime. Simultaneously, I took measures to ensure that **on-the-fly transactions remained unaffected** during this process.

To enhance efficiency, the Supplier Invoice module was integrated into AndiPay. This enhancement allowed the platform to adeptly handle various payment methods with precision and transparency, highlighting its adaptability to evolving financial requirements and establishing it as a trusted source of financial data for stakeholders.

In the property management domain, effective financial management is paramount. Australia's property management sector relies on a trust accounting management system to adhere to compliance and audit regulations while providing transparent and accurate financial information to various stakeholders, including property owners, tenants, and suppliers.

### **Solution**

To address this challenge, we recommended to the stakeholders the creation of a fresh trust accounting system as a solution. This system was built on the foundation of a double-entry accounting system, incorporating essential financial tools such as **journals**, **cash books**, **ledgers**, and a comprehensive set of **reports** accessible to all company stakeholders. It was designed to provide a transparent and compliant view of financial transactions, meticulously tracking income sources like bank transfers, direct debits, and credit card transactions, as well as outgoing payments such as disbursements and invoice settlements. This ensured the accurate representation of monetary flows.

Additionally, the system was equipped with the capability to generate various reports, including reconciliation reports, trial balances, and daily and monthly statements, leveraging the meticulously tracked financial data to provide comprehensive insights.

### **Contribution**

Through my occasional leadership and active involvement in the development of this trust accounting system, I contributed significantly to improving trust accounting system and delivering all the required features seamlessly before the estimated deadlines.

Additionally, I restructured the management of financial events to be treated as transactional events, incorporating sessions and rollbacks to ensure precise data representation. The challenge we faced in our recent project revolved around streamlining the processing of rent and lease requests for a vast portfolio encompassing more than 4,000 properties. The existing processes were complex and fragmented, making it difficult for property managers, owners, tenants, and suppliers to efficiently communicate and transact.

To address this challenge, we conceived an innovative product that served as a centralized dashboard for all property-related activities. This view seamlessly connected all stakeholders, including property managers, owners, tenants, and suppliers, facilitating efficient interactions and transactions. This played a pivotal role in streamlining the maintenance request processing phase by providing real-time updates and enabling seamless coordination.

* Successfully migrated the platform users to an NPP-enabled payment provider, resulting in a significant reduction in payment turnaround times from two weeks to just a few days.

* Launched a bank reconciliation product that automated the processing of inbound transactions from multiple parties, leading to a 75% decrease in the time spent reconciling transactions and a 2.5% reduction in manual errors.

* Developed and maintained the core FinTech mobile products for property owners and tenants using React Native technology.
