Promescent is the US’s largest men’s sexual health lifestyle brand – but it didn’t start out this way. They were struggling to create a space for themselves in an industry that really doesn’t lend itself any favors in advertising.

So how did they start doing almost $10,000 in sales everyday?

My design team and I got to work first identifying huge gaps in the Promescent e-commerce experience. Even people who wanted to buy were being blocked by unnecessary friction in the the uninspired website design.

Some of the gaps we found were:

The website lacked a clear value proposition and a compelling story that would resonate with the target audience and differentiate Promescent from other brands.
The website had a poor navigation and information architecture that made it hard for users to find what they were looking for and understand the benefits of the products.
The website had a low visual appeal and a generic look that did not reflect the brand identity and personality of Promescent.
The website had a complex and lengthy checkout process that required users to fill out multiple forms and fields, which increased the chances of cart abandonment and reduced conversions.
To address these gaps, we redesigned the website with the following goals:

To communicate the value proposition and the story of Promescent in a clear and engaging way that would build trust and credibility with the users.
To improve the navigation and information architecture of the website to make it easy for users to browse, search, and compare products and to highlight the features and testimonials of Promescent.
To enhance the visual appeal and the brand identity of the website by using a modern and sleek design, vibrant colors, high-quality images, and consistent typography that would convey the professionalism and confidence of Promescent.
To simplify and streamline the checkout process by reducing the number of steps and fields, offering multiple payment options, and providing clear feedback and confirmation to users.
The results of our redesign were impressive:

The website saw an increase in traffic, engagement, and retention rates, as users spent more time on the site, visited more pages, and returned more often.
The website saw an increase in sales, conversions, and revenue, as users were more likely to buy products, complete their purchases, and spend more money on the site.
The website saw an increase in customer satisfaction, loyalty, and referrals, as users were more happy with their experience, more likely to recommend Promescent to others, and more likely to repeat their purchases.
By redesigning the website with a user-centric and business-oriented approach, we helped Promescent achieve their mission of becoming the leading men’s sexual health lifestyle brand in the US.

Frictionless commerce and 1-Touch Purchasing from anywhere

This was a product that I started on the ground floor with.

The mission was simple: Reduce friction in the commerce process. My thought process involved atomizing the entire commerce process from consumer product discovery to purchase - and removing as many moving parts in it as possible i.e the '1-Touch' purchase

This involved rapid design prototyping and user research into the product. I was responsible for seeing this vision through in design and eventually a product.

My work in this included:

» Designing the user interface and user experience for the platform that enabled users to find and purchase products with one touch, without leaving the app or website they are browsing.
» Conducting user research, product vision, and digital strategy for the platform that identified the opportunities and challenges of the online commerce market and created solutions that addressed them.
» Developing design systems, information architecture, and detailed design for the platform that ensured consistency and scalability of the design.

Turntide Technologies(formerly SMC) is a company that develops intelligent and sustainable motor systems for various industries, such as electric vehicles, building operations, and agriculture. They wanted to create a user-friendly and attractive website that would showcase their products and services, as well as their mission of reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions.

We were hired as the design team to help them achieve their goals. We started by conducting user research, product vision, and digital strategy for the website, to understand the needs and pain points of their target audience and the opportunities and challenges of the market. We also analyzed their competitors and their existing website to identify the gaps and areas for improvement.

We then created wireframes, detailed design, design systems, and user journeys for the website, to improve the usability and navigation of the site. We used a modern and sleek design, vibrant colors, high-quality images, and consistent typography to enhance the visual appeal and the brand identity of the website. We also communicated the value proposition and the story of Turntide Technologies in a clear and engaging way that would build trust and credibility with the users.

We also simplified and streamlined the checkout process by reducing the number of steps and fields, offering multiple payment options, and providing clear feedback and confirmation to users. We made sure that the website was responsive, accessible, and secure for all devices and browsers.

We tested our design with real users and collected feedback to validate our assumptions and improve our design. We also collaborated with the developers, product managers, and clients to ensure that our design was implemented correctly and met their expectations.

The results of our design were impressive. The website saw an increase in traffic, engagement, retention, sales, conversions, revenue, customer satisfaction, loyalty, and referrals. The website also won several awards and recognitions for its innovative and elegant design.
