Exploring the Design and Development of a Variable Font Icon Set, Tabriz Art University

In the realm of mass communication, abbreviations and symbols are crucial, particularly in the digital age. When it comes to using icons, designers must carefully consider various factors such as thickness, sharpness/roundness, and whether the icon is solid or hollow. However, searching for, downloading, and importing icons can be time-consuming and slow down the design process. This thesis aims to address this issue by exploring the potential of variable fonts and icon design principles to increase efficiency. The outcome is an icon pack that allows developers and designers to customize their designs, improving the overall design process. This pack is compatible with all operating systems and can be used with software that supports open-type features.

Unleashing the Potential of Gamification in Mobile Apps for Mental Health, Tabriz Art University

Meditation applications for smartphones have been steadily growing in popularity. Gamification is more and more being suggested as a strategy to increase engagement for mental health and wellbeing technologies. There are different definitions for the term "gamification" within the academic fields, however, the effectiveness of gamification is a subject to be more studied. In this study, mobile apps are being investigated to determine if they have any effects on mental health and check if they are workable instruments that users can import into their daily lives.
