hey, welcome back here. i have been thinking about how i can turn my ideas into reality fast because i procrastinate and want so show something perfect a lot. then, a friend and i started to discuss, and we came up with a method using versions to bring an idea to life.
the version method talks about building the main idea first, making it work, and when you are satisfied with this, then any idea that comes after the main idea will always be the next version.
as a designer and programmer, i really love to create wonderful sites or interactions, but i always fail to ship them because i overthink a lot. by developing something that works as V1, any crazy feature can always be V2...
V1 â do something, build something, write something, go to the gym.
V2 â add the fancy interaction, make it fun, simple, to your taste.
V3 â continue to improve on it.
this method helps break down overwhelming projects into manageable steps. it encourages immediate action, pushing you to create a functional minimum viable product (MVP) first. once the foundation is set, you can iterate and enhance the project, adding new features and improvements in subsequent versions.
by focusing on versions, you not only make continuous progress but also keep your creativity flowing without being bogged down by the pressure of perfection. it's a practical way to combat procrastination and bring your ideas to life efficiently. whether it's a new app, a blog post, or a personal goal, the version method can help you achieve it step by step.
p.s: i actually challenge you to do this make V1 in a week and then improve the next week over the course of 4 weeks.... see you another time bye ă
