Projects

2023

Led brand and product design for Berlin-based GovTech company Polyteia while at MAD Berlin. We came up with a brand identity that welcoming and cheerful while still professional enough for government officials to use for municipal planning. I designed, illustrated, and led art direction for their website and branding.

2023

Collaborating across The New Yorker's editorial, art, product and engineering teams, I worked as a design lead to rethink our homepage experience. Our goal was to make the site feel less like a cluttered news site, and more like the focused, wonderfully art directed magazine our readers know and love.

2022

Rita (which stands for the "Right Information to Acknowledge") is a female-founded company all about providing the right information to women at the right time. Founded by ex-Google alum Alessia Morichi and Kamila Staryga, Rita launched in 2019 as an information-led editorial resource for women's fertility, and has since evolved into an app. For this project, I led the visual design, web design, illustrated and assisted with art direction for a launch video.

2022

For the New Yorker's annual Cartoons & Puzzles issue, we paired with their art and interactives team to create a truly playable magazine.

A first in the publication's history, we worked closely with the magazine's illustrators, art directors, game designers and editors to create something that felt as joyful online as it did in print.

This project won some awards, too—the SPD Gold, and D&AD Wooden Pencil—which we were super proud of.

2019

Vogueworld was a new vertical introduced by Vogue in 2019 to cover stories about truly global street style, and what's happening in fashion all around the world. With an e-commerce twist, readers are also able to shop stories live, save products and images they love, and get inspired by tastemakers. As a lead designer on this project, I concepted, presented, designed and helped build a website, app, and brand. Vogueworld has now transitioned into being a fashion week event, and thus the editorial vertical was shuttered, but ran from 2019 through 2021. You can still see the vogueworld 100 here, which spotlights street style icons around the world.

Work Experience

2016 — Now
Berlin

Tendencies is my independent creative practice. I design digital products and brand identities for businesses that want to make an impact in the cultural landscape. Get in touch to collaborate!

2023 — 2024
Berlin

I moved to Berlin in 2023 to join the MAD team as a senior designer. There, I led product design and branding initiatives for clients in industries like GovTech and education.

2019 — 2023
New York

For three years, I had the privilege (and joy) of working as a senior designer, then design lead, for The New Yorker's product design team. I led web design for initiatives like a fiction design overhaul, a homepage redesign, article and newsletter optimization, and more.

2017 — 2019
New York

I joined the Conde Nast global design team in 2017, and worked as a designer on their centralized team from 2017—2019 before joining The New Yorker. During my time, we built a global design system that supports all Conde Nast publications, such as Vogue, WIRED, Bon Appetit, The New Yorker, and more. I also led and designed a brand identity and product initiative for Vogue, "vogueworld."
