Work Experience

2021 — Now
Product Designer at Netflix
Miami

-As part of the Core XD Design Systems team, I work closely with 100+ designers, project managers, and engineers on using and improving Netflix Figma libraries.
-As an advocate for Figma and our Hawkins Design System, I encourage the adoption of components and evangelize design best practices.
-I partner directly with designers in the context of new and existing work to bring them and their files up to standards of the Design System.
-I help maintain and improve design libraries in Figma based on feedback and prioritization.
-By gathering context on different work streams and productized decisions across devices, I generate reusable templates that act as starting point for creativity, reusability, and scalability.

2018 — 2020
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

-Involved in all stages of the product development process as the first product designer in a company of 500+ people, and onboarded 5 new designers
-Led design for Hyper English, an online English course offered by Spot Educação as the evolution of its previous Cultura Inglesa online course, available for mobile and web
-Established Popsicle, Spot's design system
-Helped launch two new products, increasing student registrations by 90% (over 40,000 students in all) and increasing trial plan-to-paid plan conversion by 23%
-Improved dev-designer flow and handoff, as well as communication between product, marketing, support, teachers and other stakeholders

2018 — 2018
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

-Facilitated design sprints and workshops (proto persona creation, business model canvas development, design studio, etc.) where I had to ease stakeholders into the design process, helping them buy in to the entire process, feel more comfortable sketching their own ideas and contributing to brainstorms, and leaving each meeting satisfied and understanding the process
-Helped develop a proposal for an app called Talk to Your Idol that connects sports fans and idols with a platform for sport-related content
-Created an interactive prototype accessible through Figma, easy for all stakeholders and potential investors to access

2017 — 2017
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

I was part of the design team behind Brazil's premiere film festival - Festival do Rio. I worked on the catalog and zine distributed during the 19th edition of the Festival, as well as social media material, layout, composition and image editing.

I was successful in meeting very tight deadlines and working with the unpredictable nature of juggling multiple film studio projects, directors and content.

Projects

2020

Popsicle is Hyper English's design platform for web and mobile. Hyper is the evolution of Cultura Inglesa’s online English course, offered by Spot Educação – one of the leading education and eLearning institutions in Brazil.

I helped establish Popsicle, which aided in the launch of two new products, increasing student registrations by 90% (over 40,000 students in all) and increasing trial plan-to-paid plan conversion by 23%

2020

A white-label LMS/CMS dashboard developed with a new version of the Popsicle Design System I led the creation of. It was created to manage multiple companies, for both B2B and B2C, each with their own courses, classes, students and teachers. This project is still in development. If you are interested in seeing more, please get in touch with me and I will be happy to show more of the design system and the process behind the project.
