Autonomous Bus Passenger Experience

Time keeps on changing our perception of what is possible around us. Over time, jobs like elevator operator was essential to make the elevator keep its speed, stop parallel to the floor and keep passengers safe in case of emergency. Nowadays elevator passengers just have to enter their destination and wait to be transported there.

This paper aims to create a set of interaction design strategies to provide an efficient and pleasurable journey for the passenger traveling with an autonomous bus, as well as evaluate concepts where these strategies have been applied. The strategies and concepts will be developed from an extensive user- and literature research where the situation of today will be analysed and looked upon with the eyes of tomorrow, to find challenges and needs.

Summarizing over two years of work as a product designer can be challenging, but here's a try:

I have been responsible for designing and enhancing our platforms, including web, mobile, and TV apps, as well as other digital media assets. My role involves collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and content creators to produce user-centric and engaging designs that align with the company's objectives.

Key responsibilities include

* Conducting user research to inform design decisions

* Creating wireframes and prototypes

* Developing high-fidelity designs that are visually appealing and intuitive

* Implementing a design system to ensure consistency and ease of development

* Working and designing for two brands; MTV and TV4 Play. Keeping up with two different markets while trying to keep it as uniform as possible.

Sample of projects

* Being a part in creating and launching the new TV4 Play brand

* Making our tv shows interactive, letting the user vote directly in their smart tv, mobile app or in the web player.

* Launching the new streaming experience for TV4 Play, guiding the users through our new offering with much more content, sports and channels.

* Designing and introducing new experiences such as Profiles, TV4 Sport and live channels.

This role has allowed me to contribute to the seamless integration of design principles across various platforms, ensuring a cohesive and engaging user experience.

Conducted user research on truck-drivers within the EU ADAS&ME-project. Big project with a lot of partners and components to keep in the loop. Also benchmarked and researched existing ADAS systems.

Initiated the work of their design system.

Previous assignments was through HiQ. As a consultant  my work consisted of conducting observations and interviews with users and stakeholders across different projects and with a range of companies. Ideating, designing, conceptualising, prototyping, facilitating workshops, planning and managing projects. I also led the group HiSvarv, a workshop initiative for employees with an interest in art, design and handicraft.

Created a brand manual for Comfort AB and advertising.

Designed their new page based on brand manual, ensured it followed accessibility regulations. Created a design system with reusable components.

Created a new support tool for their teams supporting connected merchants, banks and card schemes.  User research,  facilitated workshops, interface and conceptual design, user-testing as well as creating a design system for the new UI.
