Projects

2023

Designed and developed an anti-theft program for Mac owners to protect their laptops in public spaces. The program achieved 200 downloads in 24 hours, with recognition from LifeHacker. Composed optimal alarm sounds through research on audio rhetorics and speaker position for all MacBooks.

Version 2.0 achieved user-tracking by detecting Watch/iPhone RSSI intensity leveraging Core Bluetooth and iBeacons. Developed a more user-centered solution to send timely SMS texts using Twilio API in case of theft.

2019
Frost

Designed and developed a writing app called Frost that has been used by over 30,000 people from more than 100 countries. The app was created using Vanilla JavaScript, CSS, SwiftUI, Firebase, and Electron, and is available for Web, Desktop, and iOS platforms.

It is designed to help boost user productivity by providing them access to historic artwork and instrumental music that is tailored to the genre of writing they are interested in. Thanks to the latest version of the app, user retention has increased by 80%. FrostWriter is currently available to use at frostwriter.com.

Streamlined Systems Trade Studies by designing an intuitive AI program in Swift and Python for mechanical engineers. Simplified identification of critical parameters from data sets, reducing trade studies time, leveraging UX best practices.

Work Experience

2022 — Now
Project Engineering Intern at Raytheon Technologies (Collins Aerospace)
Arizona

By revamping the front end of the program to prioritize company needs and developing an automated VBA script outputting ideal gas mixes, I was able to reduce the inflation time of the EVAC system by 60 seconds, contributing to meeting FAA regulations, specifically c70 guidelines.

Additionally, I slashed task completion time from 30 to 10 minutes, tackled slow-fill issue plaguing Collins Aerospace’s A320 life rafts, and reduced wait times for product delivery by 2 weeks.

2022 — 2023
UX Analyst at Eagle Writing and Design Lab
Prescott, AZ

Researched and delivered user-centered solutions for a first-of-its-kind writing & design lab tailored towards aviation professionals. To ensure success, I conducted 25+ user interviews to extract key persona details around design lab users, enabling product feature prioritization. Additionally, I identified aviation student needs by leading UX design sprints in collaboration with Communication Academics. To ensure the optimal design of the internal portal scheduling process, I worked with stakeholders to develop an intuitive user flow.
