About

👋 I'm Maggie, a User Experience Designer who enjoys building end-to-end digital experiences, and help foster design communities. I'm on a mission to authentically inspire curiosity, awe, fun, and connection so that we can all grow better together. As a designer I strive for value - creating or enhancing digital experiences that empower people. My personal narratives have inspired my passion to design with inclusivity, mindfulness, and empathy above all else.

🏢 I have experience working with B2B experiences for web/SaaS, and products in the FinTech, Inbound Marketing, and AgroScience industry. Some of my core skills include interaction design, UX research, usability testing, wireframing , and prototyping. I consistently collaborate with UX Researchers, UI and UX Designers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Developers amongst others.

🗣As an active speaker, I have given talks on my UX journey, portfolio reviews, and advocacy for inclusive and diverse design at workshops and communities including QTBIPOC Design, Design Buddies, TechTogether, HackOR and many more.

🌟I'm an instructor and mentor at QTBIPOC Design working on being a mentor in our community where we provide a space for talented people to share their voice, concerns, knowledge, and grow together.

UX Designer within the Marketing Creative Team, designing customer experiences, global content, and marketer tools that amplify HubSpot's brand and help customers grow better. My main focus is within the Content and Community portfolio where we ensure our global website is on-brand, user-friendly, and optimized for conversion and product positioning.

UX Designer part of the eCommerce team for both customer-facing web and app experiences. I partner with Product Owners, Engineering, UX designers, and Business Leaders to enhance Ecommerce products and make shopping online easier for everyone. I leverage human-centered design methodologies to uncover customer needs and goals. My main responsibilities include (but are not limited to) conducting customer research, analyze data, create prototypes and mocks, usability test designs, and produce development-ready specs.

(Client A) Brought in to augment and enhance an established internal app and corresponding reports. I worked alongside our users to better understand their existing work processes and environment. UX Designer part of the eCommerce team for both customer-facing web and app experiences. I leverage human-centered design methodologies to uncover customer needs and goals. My main responsibilities included (but are not limited to) customer research, analyze data, user-flows, prototypes and mocks, and produce development-ready specs.

(Client B) Brought in to augment and enhance an application using modern a technology stack and automate some of the critical manual processes surrounding the existing product. This would help employees be more productive along with the product. We work alongside our users to better understand their existing work processes and environment. Product MVP went into Production on time and under budget!

UX Designer at Workiva, Inc.

Main designer for the Spreadsheets and Charts product team. As a UX Designer, I got to understand Wdesk's user stories to help inform design decisions and product workflow. Collaborated with other UX designers, UX researchers, Product Managers, Engineering, and other Business Leaders to determine customers’ needs, how to best integrate these into the existing environment, and improve Wdesk products.
