About
Hi, I'm Luk, a graphic designer based in São Paulo, Brazil. I usually work with brands, but I'm also very curious about typography, editorial design, music, and other roles.
Work Experience
I've been working with design, visual identity and design for brands since 2016, as a freelancer I have already developed and participated in projects of various types and complexities.
At Future, as a designer, I was responsible for creation and, at times, design leadership on brand and packaging-focused projects. I worked on projects of varying complexity, playing an essential role in building brand value, as well as contributing to conceptual and strategic development, drawing insights from the market to establish creative paths.
At Neoway, I worked as a branding and design consultant, primarily focusing on the brand’s expansion and evolution. My role, beyond helping to build an increasingly dynamic visual language, also centered on strategic projects, supporting my colleagues in design decisions, processes, and creativity.
At Tátil, I joined the international team, where I contributed to building both the conceptual and visual aspects of point-of-sale language and art direction for Caesarstone materials.
At Ana Couto, as a designer, I am responsible for the development and occasionally leadership of design in projects for the market. I participate in works with various complexities, acting as an essential part of the stages that involve the method of think, do, and speak. I also work on certain aspects of the process, providing support to the strategy, conducting research, extracting market insights, and assisting in conceptualization and exploration of creative paths.
At Pharus, I joined the design team and participated in numerous national and international projects. I led some moderately complex projects, engaging directly with clients. I played a fundamental role in facilitating client understanding of design arguments and helped amplify the visual power of the brands we created. Here, I worked with clients such as Barbatuques, Bauducco, Itaú, Lacta, Libbs, Luz Energia, Quinto Andar, Natura, Unilever, among others.
I was one of the brand guardians, where we created and managed all initiatives under the Santander brand umbrella. As a specialist, I actively participated in numerous projects that aimed to maximize the many potentials of the Santander brands, particularly in terms of tangible products, visual and verbal identity development. In my team, I handled projects focused on physical products, managing assets and deliverables that involved coordination between our suppliers, business areas, and their respective product owners.
Here, I helped expand business opportunities, giving life, identity, and purpose to the brands. This is where we created the best, most human brands.
At +Packing, I had the opportunity to join a team with extensive expertise in Products, particularly packaging. It was a learning experience focused almost entirely on the point of sale and retail. I actively participated in projects of various natures, encompassing realms related to brand strategy, name creation, visual identity development, and other design disciplines. I had the chance to explore and lead several internal initiatives, all from a strategic perspective aimed at creative processes and their aspects.
I was the design focal point during my time with this team. As the responsible person for creation, I directly supported the communication and marketing department. My deliverables encompassed internal marketing materials, photography, art direction, post-production, advertising, and institutional materials for fairs and events, including booth setup supervision, promotional item creation, and strategic brand direction.
At Mofo, I was able to learn advertising concepts and how to work with offline and online ads. Here, I developed numerous brand projects and local initiatives.
Side Projects
Here has always been our space, our blank canvas. The place where we could explore the most. Our goal has always been to create and be part of something, a group, a collective, where we can join forces and share the results (and so it was). Vora, in Catalan, means "edge," which speaks volumes about what we were: margin, contour, sketch. The essence of working on the premise of the margin (or marginal) is that we could redefine what it means to be on it and how it can return to us and to the outside. Vora's greatest challenge was working with abstract meanings and bringing new solutions to something that, for us, was somewhat ordinary. In the project, I integrated the entire creative process of naming, platform and brand structuring, visual identity, and graphic materials. Based on the meaning of "edge," we structured the lower corners as graphic elements to explore the brand's ascent. It starts at the edge and ends at the top. This was not just a graphic play, but rather the mantra that guided the choices. It was not simply about creating graphic pieces, but about doing design, and that speaks more about people and relationships than about the graphic pieces themselves.
