Louis Le Bon

Brand & Digital Designer in Oxfordshire, UK.

About

I'm a multidisciplinary designer that graduated from Arts University Bournemouth in 2021 with a first-class degree in Graphic Design. I have over 4 years of experience working in brand, UI/UX and experiential design at creative and digital agencies and also in consultancy. I am fully proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and continuing to develop my skills in front-end development using Webflow, as well as 3D design in Blender.

Projects

2022

UKFT futures is a project that I have worked on during my time at UNBXD. The UK Fashion & Textiles Association approached UNBXD to create the branding for their online learning platform as well as the UI/UX design for a new website. I worked as the lead designer on this project, creating the branding, UI/UX design and the Behance case study to go with it.

2021

I was approached by Greens Removals to create a new logo and design a new website. I collaborated with Marc from Made Studios to create the branding and the website. We created a stylish logo, which maintains the heritage of the previous logo and adapted the colour palette to become more modern whilst giving a luxury feel to the brand.

2021
BOSUN | Creative Production Studio at BOSUN

I created the branding for the creative production studio BOSUN. The client wanted a minimal but stylistic logo design, with an understated colour palette.

‘Bosun’ refers to the leader of a ship, and we wanted to encapsulate that within the design – when tilted 45 degrees, it will look like a ship with two sails. When flat it looks like a camera pointing to the left.

2020
Ziggurat | Creative Production Studio at Ziggurat

I was approached by Ziggurat to create a minimal, modern and elegant logo design with brand guidelines for their creative production studio.

Ziggurat creates social media content for brands including Ramp and Charli3.  They wanted their brand to stand out against others that are typically in their sector. The inspiration for the isometric logo was the game Monument Valley where elements appear to come back on themselves. We decided to use purple, mint green and white as their primary colours and we also added some secondary colours so that the brand can continue to refresh their identity.

Also responsible for handing over designs to developers for production.

Education

2018 — 2021
Bournemouth

The Graphic Design course at Arts University Bournemouth offers the opportunity to broaden skills across different disciplines including brand design, editorial design, motion design, web design and 3d design.

We were taught the fundamentals of design including grid systems, typography and how to implement these across the different disciplines through using the latest software.

The units challenged us to think outside the box to find solutions for different problems. During my time at Arts University Bournemouth we were able to enter different competitions including, RSA, JDORaw and D&AD.

2017 — 2018
Level 4 Arts & Design Foundation at Kensington & Chelsea College
London

Before studying Graphic Design @ AUB, I studied on an Art & Design course at Kensington and Chelsea College. With no limits on the possibilities it enabled me to be as creative as possible.
