Projects
Made a website launching Earth Day showcasing some of the amazing Climate Leads we work with at Watershed. Meghan created the design & illustration, while I built the website with React & MDX.
With the Watershed team, helped build the frontend for our work-from-home carbon emissions calculator on our website.
Founded & led organizing (with 5 co-organizers) for Pennsylvania's largest high school hackathon, raising nearly $15k & attended by 111 students for a weekend in State College, PA in January 2019.
Side Projects
Created/designed/built a website visualizing the gun lobby's funding of U.S. Congress.
Speaking
Organizing hackathons is one of the hardest but most rewarding things I've done. I gave a talk at Hack Club's summit stepping through the core steps & strategy of starting a high school hackathon & sharing tips.
Writing
For Earth Day 2022, we shipped a “Spotify Wrapped for your climate program” for Watershed customers to celebrate their progress. I wrote about the process of designing/building it over one week.
Work Experience
Starting in February 2021, joined Watershed to work on design & frontend web development to help companies decarbonize.
For 3 years, led web/product design/development at Hack Club, a nonprofit network of high school coding clubs & hackathons.
Volunteering
Co-maintainer of a CSS-in-JS open source project.
I worked with my hometown's sustainability coordinator to create a website about her work, including promoting a community survey & forum event, & teaching about how climate change affects our town. Open source.
Education
Studying Interactive Media Arts at NYU. I took a two-year leave of absence during COVID to work at Watershed, but I'm finishing my second year right now. Expected graduation spring 2025.
