As co-founder and CEO of Catch, I raised $20M from top Silicon Valley investors to pursue our vision of building a safety net not tethered to employers. We built an app used by tens of thousands of independent contractors to manage tax withholding and payments, retirement investment, and insurance enrollment.

My role included:

* **Growth:** go to market, partnerships, business development and user acquisition across channels. I built partnerships with Square, Doordash, Upwork, SitterCity, and other large marketplaces of solo business owners and contractors. I designed and managed paid advertising strategies including SEM and social. I ran events and PR strategy to acquire affiliate groups of photographers, musicians, hair stylists, and other freelancers.

* **Product:** strategic roadmap, feature development, user testing, and retros. I led product prioritization and designed core features including our onboarding and paycheck experience. I worked with engineers and designers to ensure we shipped high quality quickly. I tested our product with customers in the market to turn feedback into insight.

* **Customer Experience:** support, user communications, and marketing. I led our in-house support team and addressed all escalation issues for user's finances. I built and implemented our drip campaigns and onboarding communications flows to drive adoption and engagement.

* **Finance:** fundraising, budget planning, revenue operations, and accounting. I raised a Pre-Seed, Seed, and Series A round and managed the finance team.

* **Operations:** product partnerships, licensing, and office management. I owned our relationship and contracting with banking partners, aggregators, and broker dealers.

* **Compliance:** auditing, security, and training. I led our annual auditing and approval for health insurance integration.

* **People:** organizational design, hiring, management. I sourced, hired, and developed a team of more than 60 people.

What we accomplished:

* Over 100,000 registered users, millions in revenue

* Major partnerships with public companies and high growth startups

* Hundreds of millions of dollars processed

* Tens of millions of dollars saved by customers

* Health Insurance licensing and agency in 34 states

* Federal Government approval for API integration (1 of 9 companies)

* Millions of dollars in subsidies secured for customers

* SEC registered RIA and wealth management audit

* 0 Federal CMS audit failures and 0 security breaches

Cover letters should be custom. Or should they? Is the purpose to prove to you I've read the job description? Is it to demonstrate I can drop keywords that get picked up by your ATS? Or is it to help provide a narrative and give richer color as to why you might hire me. 

I think it's that last one. So I'm going to share with you the type of candidate (and employee) I am. It's up to you to decide if that's a good fit with what your team needs. I won't play keyword MadLibs, and I won't shy away from describing my strengths and how they can sometimes get the better of me. 

I'm a former founder with a relentless ownership mentality. Sometimes, that means I can achieve the impossible. Other times, it means I don't like to take no for an answer. I believe good products are the result of inspiration, intuition, and creativity. Not spreadsheets and approval-driven consensus. 

I drive and thrive in a culture of excellence, accountability, and velocity. I use process as a means to an end, but I believe that outcomes are more important than just about everything else. I motivate teams by creating a future we all want to live in. Engineers and designers who work with me are my most treasured partners, and I'm protective of their time and genius.

The problems I'm most interested in solving are money problems. Mostly for people, but I can imagine solving problems for businesses could also be rewarding. I have deep knowledge, expertise, and relationships in fintech, and I'm confident the value I bring an employer includes industry access and influence. I care deeply about building things that make money easier. That unleash wealth. That take advantage of opportunities created by new technology - like on demand work, open banking, or fractionalized securities. 

I'm motivated by building things - not by some arbitrary level or corporate authority granted to me by a job title. I seek leverage in everything I do, and I believe lean growth is the only healthy growth. I build teams the way I like to build products: with a deep understanding of the people involved and strong perspective on the goals we are trying to accomplish together.

I provided consulting and training to Fortune 500 companies on building innovation capacity inside enterprise. I was an associate responsible for project delivery and implementation on multi-million dollar consulting projects.

Product Innovation Consultant

As the first hire at Futurefuel.io, I led customer acquisition of the first 1,000 customers and built the MVP. I managed an engineering and design team of 8 and built a product facilitating employer matching benefits to pay down student loans.

Director of Product

As the Product Lead for Money Management, I lead development teams for Savings, Stock Investing, and Automations. I have launched products that have achieved $XXM in gross profit, delivered $XXXM in on-platform asset growth, and served XXM customers each month.
