Undergraduate research chosen for publication at Human-Computer Interaction International Conference 2022
Work Experience
Conducted and synthesized user interviews, surveys, and empirical A/B user tests to improve the user experience of UNLV’s campus safety app, RebelSAFE. Articulated research data into human-centered design solutions through user flows, journey maps, and wireframes. Designed, prototyped, and user tested an improved application with a fully comprehensive design system & component library using Figma. Published and presented research findings at several summits, including the 2022 Human-Computer Interaction (HCII) Conference.
Designed home and product page mockups using Figma for the ClinCapture website, a B2B SaaS company. Designed social media and print material used to promote clinical trial softwares to clients developing COVID-19 vaccines, including AstraZeneca.
Internship within Twitter's Design Systems Team. Conducted and synthesized user research to redesign and develop a toolbar used by 100+ designers & developers to test Twitter’s 2021 Visual Design Language update. Communicated across designers & developers to publish UI bug fixes to Twitter’s internal and external websites. Daily use of React and Figma in an agile JIRA-based environment.
Volunteering
Increased club membership by over 30% during presidency
Led a team of 10 officers, overseeing events planning, marketing, and new member recruitment
Hosted career workshops with several notable guest designers including Debbie Millman and designers from Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter, and Zappos
Planned and participated in 8+ portfolio review events to guide and mentor aspiring underclassmen design students
Co-founded UNLV's very own AIGA chapter to create community and educate more students on early career building
