Projects

2024

It's been a long time coming, but I'm excited to have revamped my portfolio website to showcase some of my recent and selected projects.

Built using Astro, TailwindCSS and Preact.

2023

Building off the success of their prototype, Nature Bound wanted to build out their prototype into a fully formed SaaS application. Working with their in-house team, who were focused on the backend development, I was tasked with building out their frontend.

We firstly looked to tidy up the existing design to make it a bit cleaner, consistent and accessible. Once approved, we began collaborating to ensure data structures were optimum, and the front-end of the application was built and ready to use in just over 5 weeks.

2022

Hexis were looking to launch their new application, having built out their algorithm for optimising nutrition intake based on the training of that week.

Taking their system and working with their in-house designer, we build out the MVP of their application and launched to the App Store in under 3 months. This included the full stack, including payments and authentication.

Side Projects

2024

Polymer is a production game, focused on the idea of recycling plastic waste into new plastic sheets. Utilising the mechanisms of capitalism, the game actually explores the impact of the environment on demand. As the air quality becomes worse, the game becomes increasingly difficult - somewhat reflecting the current state of affairs.

Polymer can also be connected to a local air quality monitor, such as an Enviro Urban. This allows you to connect the mechanics of the game to your own local environment.

Work Experience

2022 — 2023
London, UK

I joined the team at companion to become their lead developer. The development team during my time there consisted of myself and one junior developer.

  • Designing and architecting technical proposals for clients in order to generate quotes and estimations

  • Developing the above proposals once approved, utilising a variety of technological stacks - mainly Sanity CMS, Next.js, TailwindCSS and React Spring.

  • Maintenance ongoing projects for clients, as well as adding in improvements and new features

  • Improving internal workflows to make sure code quality was upheld long-term, as well as automating as much of this process as possible.

  • Building internal tools and projects, such as Pair Up

2021 — 2022
London, UK
  • Worked across multiple projects, some as brand new projects and others in a maintenance capacity

  • Provided support to more junior developers to help unstick them from problems and offer more efficient solutions when needed

  • Helped develop the internal code style, along with automated linting and formatting to keep code consistent across projects

2020 — 2021
London, UK
  • Development and maintenance of a web and mobile application built using React Native, React, and Styled Components.

  • Writing a variety of node scripts to handle database migrations due to new features being implemented. These were tested locally and then deployed with minimal downtime.

  • Lead a research project into the implementation of internationalisation across the technological stack.

  • Working within my own team to discuss code quality, conduct code reviews, and discuss best practises moving forward.

2017 — 2020
Bratislava, Slovakia

Pakta Studio was a multidisciplinary design studio, primarily focused on the sustainable design and production of bags, backpacks and accessories.

We operated an online store, before growing into a flagship store in the heart of Bratislava. We designed and produced products using innovative materials, such as Piňatex, as well as utilising our own production waste in our DERIVAT product line.
